I was thinking about marketing the GAA. And would a Radio station dedicated to GAA news help? A lot of commercial radio stations don't usually have any GAA results or news from September onwards, and it is usually only March or so before it gets any publicity. Should some of the money earned by HQ be put into a "Radio GAA"? galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2517 - 10/11/2016 21:37:52 1933457 Link 2 |

would be better off have a tv station set up and funding county boards to cover the matches in each county Armagh have a good online tv service set up and it works very well redbomb (Tyrone) - Posts: 167 - 11/11/2016 08:03:22 1933499 Link 0 |
A few counties have this alright but Armagh's is the best by a mile. They even show McKenna cup games live on it.

Couldnt see anything like this taking off. people would be sick to the gills of GAA with a dedicated radio station or tv channel. It would be like Sky Sports News regurgitating the same news every 30 minutes. woops (Kerry) - Posts: 2073 - 11/11/2016 09:30:34 1933509 Link 0 |
I think it would be a mighty idea if it was 15 years ago! People can stream some club games on there phones now these days so it will only go more towards that line of thinking. kevdog (Westmeath) - Posts: 115 - 11/11/2016 13:21:49 1933578 Link 0 |

No. But a twice weekly newspaper like Midi Olympic would run. And make money. Friday for.previews etc and Monday for all the match round ups. witnof (Dublin) - Posts: 1604 - 11/11/2016 17:00:32 1933631 Link 0 |
There already is an official GAA podcast.... runs through results from around the world. Its not terribly exciting mind you. http://www.gaa.ie/search/?q=podcast London_Royal (UK) - Posts: 10 - 11/11/2016 17:26:22 1933637 Link 1 |
I think there is scope for a GAA podcast. Reason I am saying is very very few, none, really national radio stations have any GAA news. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2517 - 12/11/2016 18:57:52 1933816 Link 0 |
