Triona Rowe

(Oldest Posts First)

So folks what are the chances the Dubs will meet Triona Rowe next September? :-)

When I first joined Hoganstand in 08 she was the talk for the year and unfortunately after Kerry wooing and seducing her all year she stood us up on the day of the date!

haha

I read a headline yesterday of another senator complaining about not getting a ticket for Saturday but never opened the article.

When I saw your headline, it thought it was referring to her!

We will winter well by a warm fire, all focuss now on the O'Byrne Cup and stick to the process.

Whose going to stop us ???

Kerry with these great minors sure the bleeding old guard won't get lost and let the young lads through so no chance.

Mayo no star forwards to win Sam, Moran and Dillon retired Aidan O Shea poor again in his fourth All Ireland final appearance Cillian too slow

Ulster teams with 14 bore fest men behind the ball has been figured out so stop wasting your time and ours.

With Jack back and maybe Rory with Con O Callaghen and Basquel coming through with Mannion and Costello a year older the triple is ours to lose really.

I thought this was about the Mayo ladies footballer of the same surname then I realised.....

1) I think a low key league where new young Dubs get indoctrinated in "the process" will be key. It depends if a few more u21s can make the grade at senior level if given the cahnce. Cluxton will be wrapped in cotton wool until the championship

2) How Kerry manage to get their mix of phenomenal minors and old stagers right will be crucial

3) Will Tryone play the same this season or will they finally click after a few years of re-adjustment?

4) Will Tipp push on this year and will some of the Dual players be allowed to play both/switch to the football

5) Can Mayo overcome the psychological battle scars and give it yet another lash?

Thinking of all of these factors Kerry are the ones I most fear for stopping the Dubs 3 in a row.
That young fella Clifford is 18 going on 50 sensible head on his shoulders. If there are many more like that I will be worried!

I think Dublin have it in them to do it McCaffery and O'Carroll will be back. The next blue hope is Con O'Callaghan. There are others like McHugh, Scully and Basquel who might make the breakthrough this year.

Don't the O'Byrne Cup kingpins Kildare normally win that? We have no chance against them...
