If Lee Keegan played for Dublin

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

No doubts but Lee is one of the top footballers in the country.

However, he and controversial incidents always seem to go hand in hand together.

I wonder would the national media view him in a different light if he lined out in the Sky Blue of Dublin?

Come on Toney, try and read the mood music on here.I feel,to a man,we're all burnt out debating the merits,or otherwise,of these two great players.I think you couldn't have set up a more unappealing thread at this moment in time.

Towards the end of the semi final Cormac Costello blocked the Run of a Kerry player and then pinned him to the ground to prevent him from getting involved in the game, and now we have all the sulking Dub's going on about Lee Keegan!

If it was Keegan against any other player it might have some weight but Diarmuid Connolly. Nah , madness , they are as bad as each other when it comes to controversy . No story here, just get to the throw in and let them settle it.

If Lee Keegan played for Dublin
A hypothetical supposition, a metaphysical speculation, a load of shite.

Toney I think you mean Cavan where he's from? He's only a blow in into Mayo.

Just change the rule from ref dealing with the most serious incident offense to the ref dealing with the first offense and this stuff and these conversations are over forever. Like Keegan hate Keegan, like Connolly hate Connolly the first offense in the famous incident last day out was the jersey pull by Keegan and that's a yellow by the book, if that's dealt with there and then we're not still talking about it!

It's slightly outrageous that one of the skills of Gaelic football now is how much grief you can give or take without snapping, these things should happen organically we shouldn't know prior to a match that those 2 will likely get each other sent off at some point

Jesus on a bike, I can't take any more of these Keegan v Connolly posts. Both are as bad as each other and both have plenty of previous form, who cares. Why are people so obsessed with these two players? They didn't even play well in the drawn game.

If you can't take a tackle or ruffle then get off the pitch, some of the best players in our game are what is known as hard men, Lee Keegan, Colm Boyle, Diarmuid Connolly, Paul Galvin, McMahon brothers for Tyrone, Kieran McGeeney etc, we love it when they hit hard with a shoulder or if a bit of a scuffle happens, it would be far worse if we had 30 sissies on the pitch doing nothing but prancing around like deers in the Phoenix Park, football and hurling is a mans game, a hard mans game if you can't take it or give it then get off the pitch, plenty out there to take your place (for those who will complain what about Camogie and ladies football, have you seen how rough they play? Their game is as hard as the mens game)
