The ref seemed fine to me and i can't recall any commentator on tv, the press etc criticising him. Sounds like sour grapes tbh. A bit of attention seeking maybe. Before anyone thinks i'm referring to Ashling Thompson having suffered from depression i'm not. I suffer from it myself and i'm in no way referring to anyone's metal health. Cork did not perform on the day and were beaten by a very hungry for success kk team. Is she saying because he's from Derry he shouldn't be given the AI final. Bit of sour grapes from Aishling. She said that he made a mess of the group game in Wexford Park & that she couldn't believe he was then appointed for the final. Best team won in the final. Just on an aside Hannah Looney, the dual Cork player had played in most of the Cork footballers. It seems strange she was omitted from the Cork ladies football panel for the all-ireland final. Now the Cork management say it had nothing to do with the 'handshake incident' but you'd nearly conclude it was. A very harsh omission which is clearly related to what happened in the Camoige decider despite what's said. As a punishment it's very harsh considering she played in all the games to date. Including this omission & the Corks managers very stupid comments about their stance on their victory over Dublin in the football, the new man comes out with very poor credibility. Mr Ryan was a gentleman in comparison. What will remain a fact is that their All Ireland final win will forever be tarnished as it was a drawn game in reality, tarnished just like Meaths Leinster final victory over Louth. I wouldn't take too much notice of Ashling Thompson comments. It appears to me that the Milford girls are fairly fond of the camera and the media and avail of any opportunity to get media attention. Her clubmate is now a fitness instructor, by the way, on RTE's Today programme, as well as a brand ambassador promoting health eating for a large retail operator. If RTE and the likes want to promote these lifestyles then please employ proper health instructors, strength and conditioning coaches or nutritionists. I sometimes wonder why I bother paying a TV licence for watching people talk about issues with limited and unqualified knowledge. I think some of these so called star's need to take stock and stop getting carried away. Cork lost that game because they simply weren't good enough. This is the same fact with KK in the hurling. Maybe the camogie final incident was the straw that broke the camels back for the football manager, felt she needed her wings clipped. She'll shake hands properly the next time!
