Smoking in corporate box area on Sunday

(Oldest Posts First)

Somehow i got lost and found myself next to the corporate area in Croker yesterday. I seen the wheelers and dealers and Politicians smoking inside. The words 'Do as i say and not as i do' come to mind. Disgraceful!

Are you sure? Were they e-Cigs? You do have a right to complain, a few snaps on your phone will put a stop to this illegal activity.

No, they were cigs alright. Had left my phone down at my seat. Does this behavior happen at every all-ireland?? I know Brian Cowen was caught smoking there a few years ago...but low and behold "no law was broken". Could only imagine what wouldve happened if the average joe soap was caught.

Surprised at this Where was it ?- Was it the premium level(level 5) - Was it in a box on the corporate suite level or was it in the corridor outside the corporate boxes (level 6) - All of these are indoor areas and part of a workplace so Croke Park would be in breach of the law for allowing it to happen

Any time I've been with someone that smoked in that part of the ground - smokers go out one of the escape doors onto the external walkway coming down from the upper stand and are given a wristband to allow re-entry

If you witnessed this & wrote a complaint to the HSE it would have to be investigated as its against the law. It's a non smoking stadium & a complaint would mean the Gaa having to act on it. It really is one rule for our politicians & another for Joe Soap, was there any Senators smoking, that would really be a worthwhile photo !!
