Replay fixed for October - has that ever happened before ?
Can't imagine the headaches its going to cause the fixtures schedule in Dublin and Mayo !!

DB drivers are out on strike the day of the replay too. Gonna be very difficult getting in and out.

did they not play the hurling final replay in 2013 in october? i remember it being quite late

Your right there RD, and there was a three week break to the replay as I recall on the 9th of October

I remember that alright and some of the Meath players wore the old long studs as there had been a lot of rain that week. However Croke Park was drier than expected and players changed at half time.

When ye beat Mayo in the 1996 replay it was the last Sunday in September. The 29th. The first game was on the 15th. Laois won the minor that day.
