Theres a good argument for Dean Rock being Dublin's most irreplaceable player right now. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4212 - 15/09/2016 14:25:24 1914623 Link 0 |

Haven't posted for a while but for me Ciaran Kilkenny is by far Dublin's most important player. The amount of times he is on the ball, what he does with it & his physical fitness are very impressive. If him & Connolly get on the ball, the inside forwards always seem to have a plentiful supply. A top class player. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 15/09/2016 14:33:48 1914632 Link 0 |

in terms of being the biggest difference between winning a big game in a tight finish, yes - it's Bernard Brogan.

At the moment it's Kevin Mc. Might be Brogan the next day. Strong case could be made for Dean Rock though. Brilliant free taker -indispensable. avonali (Dublin) - Posts: 1974 - 15/09/2016 15:32:34 1914673 Link 0 |

All CAPABLE of doing something special, yes. But then, so are most intercounty players. But who is likely to do it when it really matters?? I would say Brogan, followed by Kev Mac. Connolly probably does it more often but hasn't made a final his own yet. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5012 - 15/09/2016 16:46:06 1914722 Link 0 |
Little between them but the man who could turn a game for Dublin was McCaffrey. Rock may not contribute much from play but is almost certain to score any frees that come his way.

Very hard question actually, you find yourself making odd reasoning in your head for not naming someone else, I'd say this will be a very split topic GetOverTheBar (Tyrone) - Posts: 1388 - 15/09/2016 17:50:46 1914757 Link 0 |
The most important forward is Kilkenny. However if you need to quickly turn a game on it's head and reverse a deficit with a few mins to go then you turn to Bernard and Kevin. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4700 - 15/09/2016 19:04:46 1914794 Link 0 |
