That was the Kerry team vs Derry, I'd say it'll be the same with at most 1 change depending of course on injury

We have a huge challenge ahead of us on Sunday, Kildare beat Mayo by 6 points same as Galway did and as we saw yesterday it is a really strong Galway outfit. Nonetheless I am really looking forward to this game more than the Senior game as it promises to a very close and competitive encounter

Kildare minor team is usually made public the day before or on the morning of the game itself this year.

Barring injuries it'll be: Mullins, O'Toole, Dempsey, Shaw, Archbald, Gibbons, Doran, Masterson, Marnell, Robinson, Costigan or Kelly (Carbury), Foley, Kelly (Clane), McLoughlin, Hyland.

It's a tough ask and a challenge game between the two teams after the Leaving Cert was won comfortably by Kerry. Hopefully Kildare put in a good performance and give it a good go.

No West Kerry men on team so I worry about them. Might beat Kildare but doubtful for AI methinks.

No need to worry! This Kerry team will most likely win the AI for 3 in a row - Kerry football is obviously finished per the northern experts of a few years ago! And, be sure to get to Croker early to see David Clifford - the 'new Gooch'.............

Clifford is class. Worth the ticket alone to watch him. Young Moynihan from Spa is another wonderful footballer.

Just before throw in the camera zoomed close enough to see the refs face and I could have sworn it was Bryan Sheehan. If he was Bryan I can't imagine he'd have given a more one sided performance. Halfway through the first half the Kerry backs copped onto the fact that they could play their markers any way they liked. What had been a good game up to that disintegrated as the ref had broken the Kildare lads by halftime. Not the Kerry lads fault. Second half was a stroll for the Kingdom lads, who fairly piled it on. The final against a good Galway side should be interesting. Let's hope that ref never graduates to spoil senior matches.

It's all about the future after years of neglect. I hope they don't get complacent after the win today. Galway will be a difficult opponent.

Cant see Galway living with that Kerry team at all but id like to think we will give them at better game than Kildare who apart from the first 15 minutes were shocking

Stunned by how bad Kildare were.

Imagine the doom on here if Dublin minors had beaten Kildare by such a scoreline in a Leinster final - it would be a 20 page thread about financial doping! An exceptional Kerry team, clearly they recognise that the challenge at senior level is a big one and the only way to address it is by developing the youth. Other counties could learn a lot from this approach.

A very big challenge for Galway in the final alright but Stiofan Seoighe is a fairly shrewd operator. I think he'll come up with something to make life as difficult as possible for Kerry. Plus Galway do have an excellent full-forward line and centre-forward so they will cause problems for the Kerry defence but not easy to contain a team that has scored 24 and 26 points in their past two games.

he will have a plan alright but cant realistically see it working, in all fairness Kerry looked as good a minor team as i've seen. it will be interesting to see Finnerty being marked by the Kerry number 4 and Murphy on number 6 as they looked very good today and we will see how good they really are. I cant see tactics being a whole pile different from the semi final crowding the half back line and hitting early long ball into the inside line but it will be interesting to see what changes he makes when things are going against us because in fairness in all the games so far Galway were the better team but that wont be the case in 3 weeks

Kerry may fade for two or three years when a few of the golden generation retire but there is a serious kerry team on its way in five or six years time...if they beat Galway it will be three minors in a row ,a minor all Ireland won't make a senior team great but three in a row definitely will.

Hard luck to Kildare, the scoreline is harsh and clouds how good some of their forwards were.

Unfortunately ye got way too few possessions from kickouts, I don't understand why there wasn't a change in strategy as it was clear from the outset Kerry were clearly on top in that area of the pitch.

As for ourselves it was a very good display - nobody had an off day which is why the score went the way it did, I felt for the young Kildare lads who dropped the head once the goal which is understandable, I hope they bounce back as they progress to Senior in the coming years, some very good forwards on that team.

As for Galway, they will be a massive obstacle to overcome for Kerry. They beat a much heralded team last Sunday comprehensively and look to have quality players in every line of the pitch and are extremely sound in their defensive structure.

Regarding predictions of multiple Senior AI's in the future are asinine. Minor is worlds away from Senior in every aspect involved. Emigration (both within & outside of Ireland) will undoubtedly affect a lot involved in the squad not to mention Injuries and the fact that a lot just won't transition to the Senior game at IC level. And there is a Behemoth in the GAA landscape now that just simply wasn't there for Kerry teams in the past to compete against and it's only getting more and more dominant as time passes

If Minor success was a barometer Laois would have won AI's in the early-mid 00s, Senior success just doesn't correlate with Minor titles won at all.

In the 80's Kerry neglected the conveyor belt. History repeated itself in the 00's. I'd be worried young lads off the back of a big win might be caught out in the final. On form our minors should win. There are many examples where it does not always pan out that way. We'll hope for the besht! Ciarraí abú! ;)
