What the Hell is the GAA at??? Dublin v Donegal would attract over 60-000 people while Mayo v Tyrone would be a popular fixture too. avonali (Dublin) - Posts: 1974 - 31/07/2016 10:45:44 1892687 Link 0 |
I think you are right, but the croke park residents group obviously have a voice on the number of fixtures that can be played in croke park.

Nothing to do with the Croke Park residents association. The Qf's have been double headers for years. Its nothing new. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 31/07/2016 12:08:00 1892728 Link 0 |

id say if they split these 2 fixtures to seperate venues or days in order to cash in there would be an even big uproar on here. im glad that travelling fans will get their moneys worth in this one. SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2385 - 31/07/2016 12:59:31 1892749 Link 1 |
Did Gallagher not say he wanted it outside croker?

As a neutral, I'm looking forward to going to this next weekend. Why would anyone have a problem with getting to watch four top teams face each other, on the same day. PK57 (Louth) - Posts: 1649 - 31/07/2016 13:36:29 1892766 Link 3 |
3 of the 4 then... 75% ... majority wins ;) waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 31/07/2016 13:46:52 1892770 Link 0 |
Sure usually the quarter final double headers are half empty. It'll be a great day out and the junior final too for 30 yoyos. I'd complain as much as anyone about the GAA but this time they've got it right. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7290 - 31/07/2016 16:16:31 1892876 Link 0 |
Serious question. How many fans actually sit through both games? Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2418 - 31/07/2016 17:08:09 1892895 Link 0 |
It's the equivalent of the two FA cup semis being played at one venue , thankfully the FA has sence. 222 (UK) - Posts: 681 - 31/07/2016 18:12:43 1892992 Link 0 |
All three. Dubs v Donegal will be a cracker.

I hope some county will bring a motion for provincial champions to be given home advantage as carrot for winning the province. If a qualifier county is to take the place of a provincial champion in the semi-finals, they should go to the home of that provincial champion to earn it. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7754 - 31/07/2016 21:07:34 1893185 Link 0 |
Mayo v Tyrone should have been before the Waterford v Killkenny hurling semi. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 01/08/2016 07:43:57 1893326 Link 0 |
Yea. Then maybe we might get a bloody home game instead of the disadvantage of playing ALL our 'home' league and championship games in a neutral venue. Disgraceful carry on. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 01/08/2016 10:47:18 1893383 Link 0 |
I stand through every double header
