Take a bow son! What a performance by him today. He has been threatening to do that for years but what a performance today.

Ah listen he was absolutely amazing. No exaggeration to say that's one of the best scoring performances from a forward in Croker that ive seen.

Hopefully he has had his great game and will be a little quieter next weekend against Dublin.

A pleasure to watch today though.

Unreal scoring from Paddy , he's a born n bread Dub his uncle played for Dublin imagine we had him upfront as well. His last score was ridiculous, it's gas when he kicked his first point the confidence it gave him he couldn't miss after.

Ridiculous statement. 'Born and bred' dub... He was born and bred in Kilcar in South west Donegal. A Dublin mother hardly constitutes being born and raised in a seperate county. Holy God..

Listened to the game and everytime McBreartys name was mentioned you just willed him on towards goal.
Give him protection and space and hopefully he will deliver against Dublin

Don't know if it's right to call Paddy a corner forward, a lot of times he's our whole forward line!!

Don't go there donegal_abroad.

Many of us have scars on our backs by going down this particular road with clondalkin!!

Great performance from him & I have to wonder what might have been if we had sent the ball in to him against Tyrone......

Wouldn't give it to Connolly Vs. Tyrone in 2011?

7 points from half forward is impressive

As was this by the way, McBrearty just decided he was winning it for Donegal today and wouldn't be denied!

That man would start on any team in the country. Fantastic display of finishing .Beautiful to watch.Well done McBrearty and Donegal . I said earlier Donegal should not be totally written off this year .I expect a reasonably close game with Dublin. Dublin will probaby come out better but I wouldn't be totally shocked if Donegal clipped them .McHugh was great too today , overshadowed by mcbrearty.

clondalkin, I couldn't possibly step into your shoes when it comes to McBrearty's lineage & early days. I believe a book is imminent.

Suffice to say his father is a Kilcar man, the legendary Seamus "Supermac" Mc Brearty & all the football comes from his his side of the family.

His mother, I am reliably informed was useless under a high ball & couldn't handle people trying to eat her alive on the playing field, unlike Patrick who shrugs such things off as the everyday hazards of life.

This is what it says when you google Paddy;

Paddy was born in Dublin and move up to kilcar at a young age, his mother Carol is from Dublin and is first cousins with former Dublin star Tommy Conroy, his father Seamus Super was a bustling feature on the Kilcar teams of the 1980's.

Listen he's a class act and a Donegal man now I was just imagining him in our team isn't a Dublin fan allowed to dream?

Great display today no doubt! But like manys another performance before against a mediocre team - I will only start dancing and singing when he replicates it against Dublin next week!
