So, quarter finals are upon us.....quiet build up in Wexford. Thankfully nobody got carried away after Cork victory. The great unknown is can Waterford and Galway bounce back from their provincial final showings. I am hoping Wexford can repeat the dose on Cork but unfortunately, if I was a betting man, I would predict Clare and Waterford to win these. I think Waterford by 8 and Galway by 2. Wexford could prove me wrong again but Waterford were All Ireland contenders until recently in a lot of peoples minds. Wexford need to go for goals at every opportunity because Waterfords "system" doesn't allow them to score a whole pile of goals. Wexfords shooting also must continue to improve. I don't see Clare beating Galway but may be the momentum might be with them. I think we will be too strong for our friends from wexford...we are training well i watched them the other night, they look like they are eager to show that they are contenders to kk and tipp despite that munster final result. I dont think wexford will be able to break down the system. Im gonna give Clare the nod over Galway, may not be much in that one. Plus its kk!! Nothing to be said really....to beat them its 70/75 mins of non stop 110% and probably a stroke of luck too. And again before the keyboard warriors come out i said if we get passed wexford!! I like the way they hurl, definately a team going upwards. The system is in smithereens after Tipp to a sledgehammer to it last day out.Question is will ye be able to put it together again? Contenders to Tipp and KK ? Don't make me laugh. Could see Waterford coming out all guns blazing. They might feel they have a point to prove after the Munster final and want to lay down a marker that shows they're not out of it yet. They need to alter their system a bit if it is to happen and Brick has to go at this stage imo. BUT....I'd give them a chance at the same time if they do change their system a bit. unfortunately for us,i believe our litany of injuries is going to cost us a place in an all-ireland semi final.with a full squad,i believe we could get to a semi. having said that,we upped the ante v cork with a few names people had not heard of really standing up and being counted.lets hope for the same on sunday.
