How do Kerry get away with it every year? The handiest run to an all Ireland semi final you'll ever see. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 18/07/2016 10:08:57 1885275 Link 5 |

What's Tyrones pathway to the all Ireland final and who are the obstacles along the way apart from the eight that's left in the draw. My reckoning is that Tyrones path to the final is meeting one of the 8 teams in the draws this morning plus Galway. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 894 - 18/07/2016 10:42:29 1885314 Link 0 |
Clare v Roscommon............Tuam???? Derry v Tipp.........................Longford??? Cork v Donegal....................Mullingar???? Mayo v Westmeath............Hyde Park??? OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 18/07/2016 11:07:31 1885339 Link 0 |
Clare v Roscommon............Tuam???? - not fit to hold an inter county game Derry v Tipp.........................Longford??? -stand closed Cork v Donegal....................Mullingar???? - not sure how big it is Mayo v Westmeath............Hyde Park??? - closed for renovations Last year I think all the last round qualifiers were in Croke Park. Shame really because there would be a much better atmosphere in the provincial grounds. Goalie2016 (Mayo) - Posts: 36 - 18/07/2016 11:12:55 1885345 Link 0 |
No. The qualifier pots are split. Basically, if Donegal beat Cork, Tyrone will play Mayo or Westmeath. If Westmeath win they will definitely play Tyrone. If Cork and Mayo both win they can play either.

I reckon Tipp / Derry & Clare / Ross will be a double header in Tullamore. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 18/07/2016 11:45:30 1885389 Link 0 |

Why am I getting a red thumb? How could someone disagree with what I've posted? It's not a dig at Kerry it's a dig at the system. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 18/07/2016 12:41:15 1885439 Link 1 |
Doubt that Carrick will have sufficient capacity, given that Mayo would bring 10k to this game on their own.

Yeah Leinster is a beehive of intense and tough teams alright! Just how do Dublin manage to win it every year non stop for the last decade! KYTitletown (Kerry) - Posts: 816 - 18/07/2016 13:15:29 1885467 Link 3 |
Was it just me or did Des Cahill nearly announce the 4A side last night on the Sunday Game when talking about Derry. JUNIOR_B_SUB (Donegal) - Posts: 25 - 18/07/2016 13:34:16 1885487 Link 0 |
Admin in the last 10 minutes there have been 2 more new threads started about this and its venues and times. can we just have it on one? DoireCityFC (Derry) - Posts: 1580 - 18/07/2016 15:10:38 1885615 Link 2 |
This thread is the football qualifier pairings. The other thread I started was football qualifier venues & times, along with hurling fixtures and also the football Quarter final details. They're not the same threads. CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 18/07/2016 15:24:02 1885631 Link 0 |
Clondalkin I guess you are getting red arrows because some people like the current system but I agree with you, it is a joke setup and it ain't the luck of the draw either. Every year Kerry for example know they start in a provincial semi final against a team in Division 3 or 4. The provincial setup is a daft way to run the main competition. tyroneed (Tyrone) - Posts: 753 - 18/07/2016 15:31:44 1885642 Link 1 |
If they are not the same or similar enough to be included in the same conversation then why would you assume I refer to your copy and paste posting?
