What a load of tripe this Donegal v Tyrone game is. Jesus wept. Our game is dying Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 17/07/2016 14:39:09 1884649 Link 0 |
Yeah, the referees are killing it. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 17/07/2016 14:44:58 1884656 Link 0 |
Correct. The GAA's focus on Dublin and terrible refereeing are indeed killing the game.

Ah refs me hole. The football is shocking Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 17/07/2016 14:59:03 1884678 Link 3 |
The black card rule is a farce and the obsession with possession by bandpass is unwatchable. At least in basketball they brought in a rule that a team had to shoot after thirty seconds or concede possession. I'll be flicking over to the golf. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 17/07/2016 15:01:09 1884680 Link 0 |
Ahh Hang on a minute...the last 10 minutes were exciting, no need for change! ZUL10 (Clare) - Posts: 693 - 17/07/2016 15:45:04 1884711 Link 0 |
Just to repeat what Martin Carney said there "There are VERY FEW Westmeath fans here, it's all a sea of blue". Yeh, that's really healthy for the game. In the land of the blind the one eyed (Dublin) man is King. Emperor's New Clothes. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9697 - 17/07/2016 16:02:48 1884726 Link 2 |
The last 10 minutes makes it even more confusing. Why did they not just attack more earlier.

Was a great finale Liam.!!Fantastic scores from distance and never say die attitude from Tyrone. I know I'm gonna be biased but we at least tried to play football whereas Donegal tried to play keep ball and I'm glad to say they got punished for it in the end. We scored 9 to their 4 in the second half and I'm delighted we won cos I think we deserved it in the end.

Only one team was interested in attacking, Donegal's tiki taka tactics were stupefying at times, best footballing team won and will only improve in Croke park. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 17/07/2016 16:26:45 1884740 Link 2 |

Very similar to ulster final, Lets all hope Galway win the all Ireland, how was that game not shown? Rather than the tripe of these two games? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 17/07/2016 17:23:55 1884778 Link 0 |
Now Liam this game between Dublin and Westmeath is totally over since early in this second half.Yet we have to watch the Dubs continue to pile on the punishment with still about 10 mins to go.Where is the joy in any of this? The game has no competitive edge whatsoever. At least our game was competitive to the end.

Didn't you watch the drawn game, or is a week too long for your attention span?

Turkey shoot as Ulsterman said. How that is pleasing to the eye for any football fan is beyond me.Great display by the Dubs in fairness to them. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 17/07/2016 17:39:05 1884795 Link 0 |
So one game was in the balance right up to the last couple of minutes and one was over as a contest after 40 mins, as was expected, which game is dying? brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 17/07/2016 17:44:26 1884801 Link 0 |
With 15,960 looking on, this was a turkey shoot. Eoghan Kerin, Sice (free) and Eamon Brannigan lofted over three unanswered Galway points inside the opening seven minutes and the Tribesmen never looked back. The gap went out to five when Cummins bagged his first three-pointer in the 21st minute, 1-4 to 0-2. Thats the hoganstand analysis of that game.Another turkey shoot like whats playing out in Croke park.Games with no competitive nature apart from first few mins perhaps. Then one team running away with massive leads and the losers have to keep taking punishment to the final whistle.Every bit as painful to watch as the dour display in Clones only at least it was in the balance to the very end and Tyrone battled to grind out a win by playing attacking football. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 17/07/2016 17:45:33 1884802 Link 0 |
