1. Joe Sheridan
2. Cian Ward
3. Graham Reilly

Haha! But on a serious note,

1. McManus
2. Brogan
3. Paul Geaney

I was a little biased in my selections in the sense that I went for pure out and out scoring forwards.

Not sure about 2 and 3 but McManus is comfortably no 1 for the last few years.

Peter Harte ahead of Brogan Connolly O Donoghue by Declan Brown, how Declan ? He's been half back for the last 5 years surely he doesn't become better than these guys cause he played well against Cavan? By the way when the going gets tough Peter Harte usually goes missing so let's see how he does against Donegal. Not a hope he'll get the same space against them plus That beast Neill McGee is back no one fancies running tru on goal when he's back there.

McManus doesn't score enough from play to be considered one of the top three forwards in my opinion. As a free-taker, he's certainly up there.

1. Conor McManus: The best forward in Ireland by far, is Conor McManus. I have never seen such a player who is so difficult to mark and keep under wraps. He truly is a superb player, probably the stand out player in the Country.

2. Bernard Brogan this year has impressed me so far, I would say he is Dublin's best pound for pound scoring forward. I know many people talk about Diarmuid Connolly, who is superb in less advanced role, but Brogan is probably a better scoring forward.

3. Cillian O'Connor is fantastic, he is a all round superb corner forward and I think he is a handful for any team.

There are a host of other forwards such James O'Donaghue, Michael Murphy etc that are also there or thereabouts year on year.

Jaysus lads, Geaney would struggle to make Kerry's top 3!!

I agree with McOnville's selection of McManus, Brogan, Connolly

McManus wins most of those frees , he constantly comes in for special attention , how can that not be taken into consideration ?

Half forwards
10 P Flynn
11 D Connolly
12 C Kilkenny
I've said it a few times on the Dublin forum,i think this is the greatest half forward line to play the game,in my time watching from late '80,s.

Inside line
13 J O Donoghue
14 M Murphy
15 C McManus.

Diarmuid Connolly, Conor McManus and Ciaran Kilkenny in that order.

Bernard Brogan wouldn't lace any of the aforementioned fellas boots this year so far.

But, Cometh the hour........

I know it's the top three but can I take the liberty of pushing it out to six? It's a sobering thought but in my opinion only two forwards from other counties would improve the present Dublin forward line, namely McManus and Murphy. That would leave Connolly, Kilkenny and Flynn in the half forward line with McManus, Murphy and Brogan in the inside line. Even at that Rock is the best free taker about at the minute!!

Big claim for your fellow county men there!

Would Tyrone lads argue that Dooher, McGuigan, Cavanagh was better? Or Kerry with Galvin, Darran and Declan O'Sullivan?

McManus, Connolly and Murphy in that order.

P Flynn, Brogan, Kilkenny, O'Donoghue all very close to Murphy who isn't really at the same level as the other 2 lads.

The like of Geaney, Rock, McManamon, MacNiallais I'd have in the next tier, decently below.

Agree with Cued about how good the Dubs half forward line is. Scary.

He certainly does come in for attention and certainly that should come in for consideration but the difference is everyone else who has been listed here have scored far more from play in important games.

In the last 3 QFs Monaghan have played he has scored 2 points from play in each.

Dublin players aside cause I know I can be bias , so imo the best 3 forwards in Ireland

1. James O Dongohue - absolutely lethal the best forward in Ireland is without doubt in my mind James , he is frighteningly good.

2. Conor McManus- exact same as what I said about O Donoghue what a player

3. Micheal Murphy- brilliant player a leader of men outstanding all round footballer

Now Tyrone have some lethal forwards but I cant tell whose who yet cause there all Mac's but maybe after the season is out one of them will be up here
