Ireland vs France screening in croke park

(Oldest Posts First)

This is going to bring a big amount of people to
croker . It's a brilliant decision changing the time of the matches and then showing the match on the big screen . Brilliant by the GAA finally finally listening to fans . Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will not make any difference to the crowd, screen is only accomadating kildare and westmeath supporters so they can make it in time for throw in, instead of them having to go to a pub and make their way in at same time for the start of the game. There will be about 5 thousand in croker to see it on the screen i reckon that's about it.

My view as I posted on another thread. Terrible decision

"Match on big screen. This is a new low. No respect for the two teams in the first game. Train all year for a match and their warm and concentration ruined by a soccer match.

I'll be shouting on Ireland as much as anyone and a big soccer supporter. But this is too far!"

As great an idea as I think it is, they're only showing the 2nd half so i don't think it will bring a big crowd. People will only end up missing all/most of the first half making their way to the ground.

It won't be on the screen when they warming up. The soccer match will finish around 3.50pm and both kildare and westmeath will take to the field from 3.55pm. In the event of the soccer going to extra time it won't be screened on the big screens.

If that's the case then it can only be a good thing.

But it's a good thing to accomodate the Kildare and Westmeath fans who want to see the second half of the game on the screen in Croker, surely?

If it goes to extra time and penalties they will show the soccer in the bars in the back of the stands and underneath hill16 for anybody wanting to see it.

I never said it wasn't
I stated that's why it's being done.

Which means there will be more people in the bars at the back of the stands than will be watching the match on the field!
