This is interesting. Laois v Armagh clashed with Ireland game and was not moved.
Dublin v Meath and Westmeath v Kildare will be moved - its the correct decision. But makes you wonder why Laois v Armagh was not put on a bit later. Make you wonder would it have been moved if it wasnt Dublin involved

As i will be up in Belfast for Antrim v Limerick on Saturday I will probably watch the Northern Ireland v Wales match somewhere in Belfast which will be good,

well done Ireland , thrilled ye won, great performance

Are the GAA not thinking of Kildare, Meath and Westmeath fans too?

And what about the Antrim v Meath game , throw in a 5pm same time as N.I v Wales. Antrim supporters will have a decision to make should I go or should I stay?....Norn Iron will have plenty of support at their game , the Antrim hurlers on the other hand will appreciate their supporters showing up.

This game for Ireland is far bigger than Saturdays, Then in Croker you have 4 counties involved .
It's a good decision , although if you were from Laois after the way things have gone recently ye would be a bit annoyed and feel your voice is never heard.
Having said that does this have to be made into another anti Dublin thread .
Lets enjoy a packed day of Sport on Sunday.

I would recommend a bar close to the ground - maybe the Rock Bar at the bottom of the Whiterock - just make sure you are well versed in 'Land of my Fathers' :)

One rule for Dublin? Is there only 1 team playing on Sunday?

i hope the genuine supporters of all four counties who boutght tickets in advance
are not forced to miss the matches now due to accomadating another sport.
lets be honest this is done for television purposes as rte have all three games live.
The only winner here is the pubs as they will now get people for the day.
It could get messy now with this very late in the day time.

certainly not thinking of Kildare or Westmeath, it's extremely limited where you could watch the match and still make it in for 4-15. There won't be 5000 there for our match so maybe we don't deserve much consideration.

Are you kidding me? Moaning about a team that can attract 50 thousand supporters on Sunday that if the game was on at 4 could lose 30 thousand of them, to a game that would of been lucky to attract 3 thousand last Saturday. Don't forget the money Dublin makes at Croker games goes back into your lovely club houses and pitches. 100% the right call by the gaa were all sports fans at the end of the day and want to see both games.

The qualifier times are decided by the GAA. And because the Laois Armagh match was on RTE I think it was them that forced the match to be played at this time.

The times for Sunday were changed because it was the Leinster Council's decision and they chose to defer the matches.

clondalkindub --i thing its correct decision to slightly move the leinster semis--read my post esp this bit

The point i am making is that laois v armagh should have been played at 5pm to avoid a clash with ireland game
hill16 man - rte had ire v belg and laois v armagh - so if it was purely for television those games wouldnt have clashed

Or course the matches on Sunday should be moved. It would have been beyond
idiotic not to move them for a myriad of reasons ..
But the Laois v Armagh game should have been moved too ..
Small counties are treated as an annoyance by the GAA these days, thats
the sad reality of our all inclusive GAA family ..

Best of Luck to a brave Irish team on Sunday !!
