16 Euros/Pounds into Qualifier matches

(Oldest Posts First)

This is an absolute disgrace the amount of money it costs into a match, a problem the GAA needs to sort out quick and now, They are worrying about people not going to matches. Well that's going to make a smaller amount people go now , nearly over a hundred Derry people left that Louth match because of the price , and I would not blame them . Its 6 pounds for a U16 as well . It should be a fiver for a adult and free for U18s not 16s. Now if its a real championship match it should be fifteen for an adult, fiver for a child, even if its the All Ireland final.

It's very easy to find out how much a match ticket is going to be in advance of a game. Don't believe for a second nearly 100 people left because of the price.

Yes I'm aware of that, it usually is a double-header, still too expensive for me unfortunately :(

14,24 Euros to see a Matinee in Odeon cinema

I'd call 16 euros a very realistic price based on the current going of things.

Let's face it we can't expect the GAA to not make a bit of gain....as they're one to do

Exactly. Less than the cost of a decent Indian / Chinese takeway.

The hill is probably 20 euro on sunday which is good value. Wanting to get into a championship game for a fiver is daft. maybe if the qualifer games for 15 euro if you bought a ticket in the days before the watch might be better.

Never mentioned anything as low as a fiver, 15 would be more my neck of the woods, we don't all have money to spare unfortunately!

It would be spent in 5 min at the pub.

No way did 100 people get to Owenbeg oblivious to current pricing structures and then leave. Balls!!

Great value. GAA really do put the FAI and IRFU to shame with their prices.

When you go to the cinema, you get a good movie (assuming you watch the trailer). It is value for money. An intercounty Gaa match before August is mostly utter tripe. In my opinion €5 would be a fair price. I would not go if it was free.

Costs €8 to go to club championship matches here in Cork. Really good value.
