Hawkeye

I was at yesterday's game Meath v Antrim there was a good point not given by umpires and ref our umpire should have called Hawkeye in to action. Why spend so much money on it and not use it? #crazy

Just heard on Radio One that the CCC are to meet on Tuesday morning to discuss the ref's match report.

My Irish wouldn't be the sharpest but I think the TG4 commentators said that Hawkeye wasn't working yesterday. Disgraceful if so and goes to show what the GAA think of these lower tier finals. At the time, the cheers from the crowd and the reaction from the commentators suggested that a point should've been given to Meath.

The latest the ref has admitted he made mistake with score in his report .send both teams up and leave it at that .

If Clones had Hawkeye it would have been used to check out Kieran Hughes first point. I'd like to see it again.

Tell him i was asking for him. This place misses regular posts from the, shall we say, more experienced posters like yourself and Ta32.

Still, Awesome to hear you are both well.

Haha nor do i. Shocking performance by Down in the second half. Still thought Hughes first point of the game was wide though.

I think there might be a case for team manager being allowed one Hawkeye challenge per game a la tennis where it is in operation.

So spend quarter of a million for just use it twice in a game . Be waste of money if you do that .

Hawkeye was used during the Louth v Sligo game and it confirmed a point. For which team I am not sure.

I wasn't aware of that. If it was then surely could have been used in CR final.
I assume If it cost 250k, it can store the data. Would love to see the Heavey shot so, just to have the complete set of facts.
