My god what a footballer. He would be worth the admission fee on his own. His catch for his second point was exceptional. His movement off the ball is unreal. Is there a better player in a full forward line in the country? Most natural forward playing the game at the minute. Reminds me of Canavan in his pomp. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 24/04/2016 18:36:02 1848766 Link 0 |
We've been blessed with him gotmilk, one of the all-time greats for sure. KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 24/04/2016 19:03:13 1848781 Link 0 |
He is a fine footballer just gets on with the task in hand. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4896 - 24/04/2016 19:21:06 1848789 Link 0 |
I'd say Conor McManus is still the best forward in the country. What he has done with Monaghan, where he isn't surrounded by the quality Brogan is and is often double or triple marked, is exceptional. ZeitChrist (UK) - Posts: 154 - 24/04/2016 19:26:51 1848797 Link 0 |

Fair play to bernard brogan kicked some lovely points and all round movement was fantastic.. GGdub (Dublin) - Posts: 260 - 24/04/2016 20:15:45 1848817 Link 0 |
Best thing about him is he is a gentleman and a very sporting and honest player. No bullshit just class. Best dublin forward of all time, best forward in the country. Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 24/04/2016 20:20:22 1848821 Link 0 |
Class act, clever movement is the most under-rated attribute in gaelic football but he shows its true worth. Also don't think I have ever seen him dive or get up to any nonsense, a great example to use when people spout rubbish about all great players needing a nasty streak. Superb footballer who carries himself with great dignity on the pitch. Came through the bad times with Dublin and thoroughly deserves the success and plaudits he is getting now. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9702 - 24/04/2016 20:59:05 1848837 Link 0 |
Some - agree with you a great player, very clean and does not do any playacting, just get on with the game and has been playing to that for years. Would get on any team in any decade and seems so comfortable on the ball. browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 24/04/2016 20:59:47 1848838 Link 0 |

The football genes come from mayo. Go to YouTube and see the goal his cousin padraig brogan scored v Dublin in 1985. Mfs (Mayo) - Posts: 251 - 24/04/2016 21:24:05 1848856 Link 0 |

what surprised me today was his pace - he had two runs in particular one where he skinned his man on the end line - looked very lively today ruanua (Donegal) - Posts: 4966 - 24/04/2016 21:38:42 1848863 Link 0 |
Personally, I thought while Brogan was very good, a telling factor was how poor Marc O'Se performed. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 25/04/2016 09:54:18 1848904 Link 0 |

Ah lads, you can argue all day where his football genes supposedly come from but at the end of the day he's ours and that's not going to change! :) CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 25/04/2016 10:00:59 1848908 Link 0 |
