May as well kick it off as the the semis are not worth mulling over. Great game in prospect here, Kerry gunning big time for us and we want to keep our foot on their throat I would imagine. Kerry's desire for taking us down a bit could well be enough as they're playing very well right now, hard one to call! KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 10/04/2016 18:50:25 1843988 Link 0 |
Hopefully its close,but Dublin will win this ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 10/04/2016 18:59:24 1843995 Link 0 |
Kerry should be playing minus donaghy in the final for his coming together with the rossies man's head. Looked intentional if you play it back and watch it. After the Murphy incident you have to wonder what this guy needs to do to see the line ! bcfb (Donegal) - Posts: 18 - 10/04/2016 19:02:03 1843998 Link 0 |
With this being Dublin and Kerry's last real game for 4 months I expect it to have a real championship intensity... could be the best league final in a number of years. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 10/04/2016 19:06:00 1843999 Link 0 |
Dublin will walk Leinster, but lets face it,they dish out hidings to teams who are stronger than the others in Leinster. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 10/04/2016 19:11:53 1844005 Link 0 |
Wouldn't be surprised one bit if this went Kerry's way and I think they will be really out to win the final. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 10/04/2016 19:20:45 1844011 Link 0 |

I was at the league final in 2009. I was at many more in the years before that as well. Never again. The regular league games are enough. Win, lose or draw, the league finals offer no excitement. It's all championship preparation at the end of the day. I wouldn't be getting up early in the morning to catch a train for it. It'll be useful to get the game ahead of the championship. That's all there is to say about it. No more or no less. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7844 - 10/04/2016 20:01:39 1844040 Link 0 |
I think there'll be plenty getting excited for this fixture, league final or not, expect a decent crowd too, 60,000? KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 10/04/2016 20:04:26 1844044 Link 0 |
First Dublin / Kerry league final in 29 years. I'm sure plenty will be excited about it. I certainly am. CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 10/04/2016 20:24:18 1844054 Link 0 |
Dubs to win by +4 ..put the house on it... GGdub (Dublin) - Posts: 260 - 10/04/2016 20:47:07 1844071 Link 0 |
People might get excited before the fixture. There will be any empty feeling after it win, lose or draw. There isn't much relevance to it. When has a league final ever featured on GAA Gold? legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7844 - 10/04/2016 20:48:04 1844072 Link 0 |
Looking forward to this immensely, think we will see a far better game than last September, today's games were a non event as Donegal don't appear to have the legs anymore and Roscommon were just poor. I have s sneaky feeling Kerry could win this but I wouldn't put any great money on it Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 10/04/2016 20:57:08 1844081 Link 0 |
Thank God a lot of us don't share legendix dismissive attitude. It is a big game between the two best sides in the country with a lot of recent history. No way these teams will be going through the motions.I expect it to be one of the most fiercely fought league finals since i've been watching them.Quite a lot at stake really.Four-in-a-row legendary status or the Kingdom to put the men from the capital back in their box?Whats not to like about that? cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 10/04/2016 21:07:03 1844085 Link 0 |

I remember the '87 game like yesterday, both teams weren't dining at the top table at the time. KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 10/04/2016 21:28:29 1844096 Link 0 |
legendzxix does have a point, once the Championship starts the feeling of victory or defeat in this game will become of little importance to our football emotions. KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 10/04/2016 21:31:00 1844097 Link 0 |
