Two managers in-a-row complaining about Antrim footballers "thuggery". Any truth to it?

If it's true then I am delighted we are adopting the same style as your Roscommons, Mayos and Kerrys. Watch this space - Antrim for Sam.

Hahahaha - I wish - maybe if we were 10 times more dirty and cynical we might be further up the leagues.

Hurrah! We have finally arrived in the GAA. We are now being talked about and have a reputation into the bargain too. Shuuuuusshhhh, don't say anything to ruin it. Grrrrrrrr!

Looking forward to my dinner of tripe, raw steak, black pudding and a quart of oxen blood. "Put em up, go on put em up if you think you're tough enough".

Nordie: tick; playing football: tick; winning matches: tick.

Conclusion: thugs.

I think Wexford probably one of the only counties that didn't come out and complain about us in the media last year, so well done lads! If they're talking about ye you are doing something right!

On another note would love to see a resurgence of Antrim especially in Belfast! A change in attitude long overdue and maybe this new county board are just showing signs. Get casement park sorted and it may be the springboard they need! Incidentally, it looks like its taken a tyrone man to sort that out! Your welcome

I was at the match on Sunday and the roughest moment of the match was a Wexford player who landed a clean elbow to the face of an on coming Antrim player. The ref gave a yellow for it and Antrim players never created a fuss. But I suppose if we lost by four points we could always shift the blame on that as well, it always helps relieve the pressure on a manager who gets beat fair and square by minnows.

This is like the wee boy who runs home bawling and says "Maw, paw he hit me". The da runs out and says "I'll fix him" then sees the 'guilty party' is half his son's size and age and all the neighbours stifling laughter. Cue da returning home red faced and door slamming.

Probably tired of Tyrone getting all the headlines in the thuggery aspects of the game for last year or two..this could be Antrims year

Best of luck with it

Hurleys? You mean punishment beating utensils. Come in a pack with a hammer and a couple of six inch nails for £30. Though now you mention it maybe that's where we've being going wrong. I always thought our decline started with the closing of the Ulster Championship as a gate to the McCarthy Cup but maybe it was the Good Friday Agreement as we had less guys using hurls since then.

A county where the GAA is in terminal decline as native sports like soccer and rugby take over.
