The high quality of teams in Div2 this year has left Div3 looking very weak.
Kildare will be embarrassed if they don't walk it.
Hope Longford can spring a surprise and get promoted

Longford have shown a bit of early season form. Tipp have been improving steadily for the last few years, so while you'd probably be right to make Kildare/Westmeath favs for promotion, I don't think it's as cut and dried as it looks. Whoever loses between Kildare/Westmeath this weekend will be under a bit of pressure straight away.

If Limericks best players were all committed they'd be a division 2 team. Unfortunately that's not the case..

Kildare have to be winning this league just to get some convenience for the championship, i fancy tipp to nick runner up with westmeath hot on there tails.
Going down offaly and sligo not with great convenience I'm saying that as longford, clare and limerick could easily go down its not a strong division this.

Westmeath and Kildare should go up, Tipp might push them closest. Offaly and Sligo/Limerick to be relegated

Westmeath v Kildare on Sunday is a tough opener for both. Pressure is on Cian O'Neill with Kildare playing in Div 3 but we're there for a reason. You have to believe both will be in the shake-up along with Tipp. Difficult to say who of the others will compete but the top 3 won't have it all their own way.

Tipp will find it tough without the clonmel lads and Colin o riordan, steven o Brien. I'd b surprised if tipp are pushing for promotion I think we cud find ourselves in a relegation dog fight. These days even 6 points cud get u relegated you need to have 8 to survive and 11 to b in wit a shout of just getting promoted. It's kildare and westmeath for me to go up. Maybe tipp and offaly to make the drop.

How many of the Clonmel lads would be starters wild pundit? Genuine question.. I've no idea. O Riordan is an awful blow alright!

Still hard to comprehend that Kildare and Westmeath were both in Division 1 season before last. Now both are in Division 3. Maybe there's not much difference between the bottom of Division 1 and the top two or three teams in Division 3.

I would go with Kildare for certain. I think the second spot is more open. A lot of teams will take points off each other. Clare and Longford have a chance.

Thought Longford looked poor against Meath, don't see them in the equation.

Blsckspot91 in my opinion I'd say 3 perhaps.Obviously quinlivan is a quality forward and also seamus kennedy will b a big loss too as his opted for hurling. Dat wud have been 4. With a new manager this year tipp game plan will alter slightly and after some highs last year I feel we cud b down a notch or two.

Kildare and Westmeath are favourites for promotion, most people tip Offaly as one of the relegation candidates. Offaly will need to beat Longford tomorrow to get a tough league campaign off to a wining start. Staying in the division will be a good result.
There are a lot of local derbies in this year's league, so expect a few surprising results.
