He's had some career. What a player. CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 15/12/2015 11:51:50 1812981 Link 0 |
Not unexpected I suppose but delighted he can go out after a great season and having achieved all the honours he now has after soldiering for so long with limited success. Top player and that point in the final was a corker. Best of luck to him he owes Dublin football nothing. SLLY (Dublin) - Posts: 463 - 15/12/2015 12:05:04 1812982 Link 0 |

Two class acts retired on the one day - Fitting really - they both pulled the strings for their respective counties down through the years - both involved in iconic moments against each others counties. How long will it be before both are dualing again on the sideline? O'Sullivan has already assisted Jack O'Connor with the Kerry minors and all the Dublin lads, pick Alan Brogan out as the man most likely to be a future Boss - a leader and a footballing brain! rover08 (Longford) - Posts: 443 - 15/12/2015 12:37:49 1812985 Link 0 |
Never mind Alan Brogan, a needless remark when you can just start a thread on O'Sullivan. KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 15/12/2015 12:44:04 1812989 Link 0 |

Great player and battler for Dublin down the years. Was Dublin's best forward for a long time and looked like he might never win an All Ireland but then three come along fast towards the end of his career. Never give up as they say. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11229 - 15/12/2015 13:11:53 1812997 Link 0 |

Two great players who I'll miss seeing in action. For O'Sullivan to have to retire totally is very unfortunate. He was probably looking forward to at least 3/4 more years at club level. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9129 - 15/12/2015 13:28:09 1813003 Link 0 |

One of Dublin's great forwards thrilling player in his pomp. When you saw him doing the high bounce you knew something good was coming. Delighted that he finished on pitch and scored the point that will stay long in the memory. He carried the Dublin team for a long time in the leaner times. theduke66 (Dublin) - Posts: 334 - 15/12/2015 14:06:56 1813011 Link 0 |
I never used to rate him, always thought he was great in a turkey shoot but when the going got tough he was found wanting. In fairness he completely changed my mind and from 2011 on was a top, top quality player. I think once the burden of being the scoring forward and fulcrum of the attack was off his shoulders he improved immeasurably and was always a great competitor. duckula20 (Antrim) - Posts: 175 - 15/12/2015 14:48:50 1813015 Link 0 |
Sad to see him going but it probably is time . He was one of the best players over the last 20 years to wear the Dublin Jersey. When he came out around centre forward people saw how good he actually was. He had a fantastic brain which came to the fore when he lost a few yards of pace. Delighted the way it ended for him kicking that fantastic score into the hill in front of 82k in an All Ireland final against Kerry. He was the darling of the Hill after Jayo.i know him a long time and he has been a credit to his county and to his family. His only regret will be not winning a county title with Plunketts. dubshurling7 (Dublin) - Posts: 1017 - 15/12/2015 15:27:39 1813020 Link 0 |
