Did anyone see last night's Mario Rosenstock Show on RTE 1 where he did a so-called "comedy" sketch portraying Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody as Freddy Kruger from the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series of horror movies? ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 30/11/2015 10:13:16 1810512 Link 0 |
Didn't see it, but good post :-) slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 30/11/2015 10:39:59 1810518 Link 0 |
I'm one of the 35,000 viewers he lost after the first night.I would take Freddy Kreugers claws and shred this rubbish script. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 30/11/2015 10:56:20 1810524 Link 0 |
I watched some of the first episode, and it was really awful. Haven't bothered watching it since either. football first (None) - Posts: 1259 - 30/11/2015 11:08:56 1810527 Link 0 |
What a grossly offensive insult to the greatest GAA manager of all time - SLLY (Dublin) - Posts: 463 - 30/11/2015 11:14:35 1810528 Link 0 |
First of all, I don't watch it, and I think he is the most annoying unfunny person on Irish Tv Radio. Unfortunately he is everywhere at the moment, but as the numbers dwindle hopefully he will disappear. But yes, Kilkenny co board should send in a letter of complaint, in fact everyone should, so we might get rid of him Belclare1 (Galway) - Posts: 1626 - 30/11/2015 11:22:40 1810533 Link 0 |
Seeing this lad dressed up as Miriam O Callaghan is a sickening sight.I'm all for a laugh, but after he/she/it did that interview with Louise Walsh,i couldn't reach for the remote control quick enough. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 30/11/2015 11:28:14 1810535 Link 0 |
If you read the entire post you would see he was joking SLLY TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 30/11/2015 11:33:06 1810537 Link 0 |
I think Rosenstock is a year but can be funny at times. It's supposedly called comedy. His Michael Flatley on Gift Grub cracks me up. I used to like the Savage Eye and that surely offended a lot of people. I'm easily amused! GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7337 - 30/11/2015 11:51:30 1810541 Link 0 |
Rosenstock's earlier stuff was funny. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 30/11/2015 12:24:30 1810559 Link 0 |
Agree slayer.He does Vincent Browne brilliantly.Jose,Johny Ronan & Davy Fitz are good too.The rest is pure claptrap. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 30/11/2015 12:38:04 1810566 Link 0 |
It's hit-and-miss. Some of the characters can be funny (Vincent Brown and Paul Williams' bed-time stories to the kids) but characters like Miriam O'C and Louis Walsh are starting to wear very, very thin at this stage. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 30/11/2015 12:39:03 1810567 Link 0 |
Gift Grub is good, and has been consistently good for a long time now. I wouldn't be a fan of his tv stuff, but I wouldn't be up in arms about a crap sketch, who cares? I doubt Cody gives a toss. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 7885 - 30/11/2015 12:43:12 1810569 Link 0 |
