Anyone going? jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20587 - 27/10/2015 16:09:05 1802355 Link 0 |
Will likely make the trip myself, quite enjoy the series to be honest although I will admit I preferred it back when there was an 'edge' to the games. Maybe I've phrased that wrong, taken more seriously shall I say. GetOverTheBar (Tyrone) - Posts: 1388 - 27/10/2015 16:25:56 1802367 Link 0 |

The Aussies were brilliant last year. The Series needs them to take it series if it is to have a future. They are sending a strong Squad so should be a good competitive game. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2752 - 27/10/2015 19:49:58 1802453 Link 0 |
Good game last year when Ireland played in last quarter. . Aussies taking it serious again is good for it AthCliath87 (Dublin) - Posts: 345 - 27/10/2015 21:46:08 1802495 Link 0 |
No Wicklowmen in the squad. James Stafford would be the only ones worth a look. We have given great players over the years, players who really troubled the Audries - for an unsuccessful county. Pat O'Byrne was physically able to lay into Aussies. Kevin O'Brien troubled them on the scoreboard. In recent years Leighton Glynn destroyed them. Hope the class of 2015 meet the Aussie challenge. The absence of Michael Murphy and Sean Cavanagh through injury is a big blow. Both have been fierce compettitors in this code over recent years downredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 567 - 28/10/2015 08:52:50 1802510 Link 0 |
Bastardised game... time to put to bed.... it is only giving the agents an easy chance to rape the gaa of it's future stars for personal gain financially Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 28/10/2015 09:03:44 1802512 Link 0 |
I have always enjoyed the international rules when the Aussies take it seriously. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1091 - 28/10/2015 09:29:11 1802515 Link 0 |
Ireland have a real win at all costs attitude to most games they play in. I hope this is better than the usual fare. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2513 - 28/10/2015 09:37:16 1802518 Link 0 |

Any Kildare or Mayo men in the squad? And does anyone have any idea where you could see the squad? razor99 (Mayo) - Posts: 186 - 28/10/2015 10:00:25 1802523 Link 0 |
The full squad isn't released yet but you can pick up bits and pieces from the papers. From a Monaghan perspective it looks like the Hughes brothers and Beggan are involved, with Kernan saying he's hoping they come through Scotstown's Ulster campaign with no injuries. Another who I wouldn't have expected to be in the mix was Ryan McAnespie, Kernan said he impressed in training but he got injured in a club game last week and he's out. Unless he picked up a knock himself you'd imagine McManus would be there, but no other word apart from that. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 28/10/2015 11:55:32 1802571 Link 0 |
I know Eoin Donnelly was involved in the training for it. I don't know if he's still there or not but I think the game would suit him to a tee. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 28/10/2015 12:51:48 1802596 Link 0 |

I'm presuming former Oz rules player Colm begley will be involved and also Conor Meridth and Brendan Quigley from Laois who had spells out there playing it as rookies! BigJohn.6_8 (Galway) - Posts: 704 - 28/10/2015 15:40:36 1802656 Link 0 |

Carlton not releasing the three Irish players again this year. Zach Tuohy was a big loss last year. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2752 - 28/10/2015 16:18:26 1802669 Link 0 |
