If you had your chance to

(Oldest Posts First)

Meet any player or manager from past or present and put a question to them or just make an observation what would it be?

Ok, I know it's fanciful stuff but helps with the short evenings and long nights and would be interested to hear some of the thoughts of posters as to what are the main bones of contention they have or what complements or otherwise they would put to whoever it might be.

22nd September 1957. Louth just beat Cork 1-09 to 1-07 to win their third All Ireland. I would ask the Louth Captain Dermot O Brien will he be like the pope and kiss the ground when he carries Sam across the Boyne.

Ask EF what the conversation was on the line when they were clearly hotly discussing what should be done and why Donaghy was not involved sooner.Seemed like everyone else was asking the same question.

AI Final 2011 Dublin V Kerry @ 5pm:
To ask the players in the Kerry dressing room if the would like to reflect on their attitude prior to the game that all they had to do was show up and throw a green & gold jersey out onto the pitch for to go up and collect SAM and that a game of championship football is not 63 minutes in duration!

Personally,I'd probably ask Pat Gilroy what was it that changed the "startled earwigs"into the team that bridged the 16 year gap and continued to grow to where they are today. Some new players, yes ,but there was something more than that needed I think that just wasn't there previously.

Might be interesting also to hear if Martin Sludden ever looks back at that goal and what he thinks of that incident now.

Or,Paddy about that goal in'78.

Or,Mickey Ned," what were you thinking ?"

SLLY,think you're taking liberties with all those questions but it would be interesting to hear from Sludden after 5 years.

2009. All Ireland Hurling Final.63rd minute. Reverse the penalty decision and award a 20m free like it should have been.

2005 Semi Final against Tyrone. I'd ask Joe Kernan why he took McGeeney off with 15 minutes left
