Tomas O'Se Book

(Oldest Posts First)

Official launch on 25 October but available to buy this week. Great footballer and not shy with his opinions eithet but seems to be a very affable fella who likes a laugh too. Should be an interesting read. Thoughts?

If it's anything like Darragh I'd leave it off, twas all yerra butter wouldn't melt. No point in writing a book like that. Based on Tomas's Sunday Game appearances hopefully he will be a bit more open.

Yes as above, once it's not Darragh, he talks all that old school hardman bullsh*t, not saying he wasn't but incredibly boring to read, Tomas on the other hand will be worth looking at.

Agree - Tomas is much better to listen to / read. His will be good.

I liked Darraghs book contrary to others, I thought it was better than Galvins, Galvins was safe I thought, a book needs to have some dirt in it, a bit of information that you wouldn't know or have guessed.

I thought Galvin's book was top class. Insightful and intelligent. The guy is a gifted writer - I know some of the people he describes: his Uncle John, for example and he nails him. His writing is actually top class. Pity he came out of retirement because he wrote eloquently about the universal experience of retirement and but now it rings a bit hollow. Great book nonetheless.
