No it'll change

I'm convinced of that

But it will need a lot of work to get to that stage

Closer to the end of this decade

Maybe a two year trial between 2018-2020??

Once they hammer out the details (That's the corner stone in all this - keeping everyone happy.. even then you'll have those that will vote against it).. there are those that will have to relinquish a bit of power, an awful of politics to get over

But change is necessary and exactly what's needed - we might just come up with something that could be much more of a spectacle

I'd agree with Jimbo. I think change is coming but it'll be slow.

The GPA's proposal was important as it came from the players and outta Croke Park.

I see the GPA's proposal as really kick starting the debate on how we change the Championship structures. All other proposals were paper talk or ideas on forums like this one.

The sad thing is..

Things could be done quicker, but there's those that will stand in the way...

Dessie Farrell recently hinted to this in a statement regarding the GPA proposal

The GAA is all about politics

And it will take time to hash this all out.. some will have to bite the bullet and this will be difficult to get over

First thing is to come up with the structure - The GPA plan is good but who's to say it cant be better with a bit of work

Once the structure is there, it can be voted on.. but there's plenty of ground to cover before that

Lots of politics.. and we all know how horrible that can be

change will come alrite and I would imagine very close to the GPA proposal given it is what players want.

Lot of things need to be ironed out first including how the hurling calender fits into all of this as the proposals change that.

Won't be done over night...

The Munster Football draw should be interesting. Think from now on its an open draw!!

Cork v Kerry Quarter Final would be great!!!

What players want isn't always what's right, or fair. I think we've seen plenty of examples of that recently. Players are fully entitled to put forward proposals or ideas on inter county structures but they are not the only interested party so widespread engagement is required, and once again the club player isn't mentioned, any new inter county structure will effect the club player and they better be included in any discussions regarding proposed changes

Yes the brilliant draw whereby we play 3-4 dogfights through May - July while other counties don't have a tough one until August .

Time for change .

Anything but this system which isn't fair .

Will Monaghan get a preliminary round this year - must feel left out not having had a preliminary round at senior level for 12 years and at U21 for 7 years?
