What a great servant

Sorry to hear this to be honest

He deserved to go out better than this..

Well, he leaves highly decorated and he will hopefully still have plenty of years representing St Vincent's ahead of him

Look forward to seeing him play at Parnell Park plenty of more times

Thank you for the outstanding service Ger..

Legend of a man how a county like Mayo could do with a beast like Ger Brennan, all the best on your Dublin retirement and thanks to the great service to our team you've given you will be remember forever as great Dublin player.

A pity for him as he is still only 30 as far as I know. Could have had another year or two in him if it wasn't for the injuries. Still though he has 4 All-Ireland medals in his pocket so he'll be happy enough.

Was instrumental in getting us over the line in 2011. Struggled at times in 2013, especially against Meath and Kerry, many were calling for him to be dropped coming into the final against Mayo. Gavin stuck with him and he had a great game in the final culminating with an absolute monster of a point late on off his right foot! I can still remember my brother beside me roaring at him not to shoot!

Enjoy the retirement Ger, you owe Dublin football nothing and I'm sure we'll see him collecting more silverware for the mafiosa in the future unfortunately.

Best of luck to him and hope he goes on to enjoy his club football with St.Vincents.
Not surprised that he has decided to call it a day though as it would have been extremely difficult to get back in the side after his year away from the set up and considering that the guys onboard are coping so well.

Great player, really seemed to be the man to organise and orchestrate the Dublin defence. Big loss, but they do seem to have some good young backs

Ah yes, what a player. Hard as nails, gave it and took it and no complaints. Always admired him.
