IMO people forget these people are not professionals, no matter what passes under tables - real or imagined, they are amateurs. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4892 - 02/10/2015 09:40:30 1794999 Link 0 |
Why should amateur players who commit their whole lives and choose their careers to play county football have to put up with a situation that isn't right. Should they have their time wasted by people who they know are not up to the job? tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1091 - 02/10/2015 18:04:31 1795272 Link 0 |
Yes player power definitely has to be tackled, ulleJ1 (Leitrim) - Posts: 18 - 02/10/2015 18:32:11 1795278 Link 0 |
Without the players you have no games, no GAA. It is ridiculous to suggest that players do not have a say in how they are managed. It is not surprising that more and more players are starting to question their role in the whole scheme of things. The days when players were expected to keep their mouths shut and follow orders (irrespective of how pointless or stupid they were) are fast disappearing. neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 02/10/2015 19:35:50 1795299 Link 0 |
The term player-power has unnecessary emphasis. Players are the power. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 02/10/2015 21:07:51 1795323 Link 0 |

Deep down I would suspect many of the posters are embarrassed by their players , but as I said before the us and them mentality kills most debates on this forum , I can completely understand the siege mentality of Tyrone supporters when lads from the West fail to man up and speak their mind honestly .Fair play to those that have said pretty much what most posters think .
