I'd have Diarmuid Connolly in there too and Johnny Cooper could feel hard done by. I know I'm a Dub and I am biased but we did clear up all round us easily enough. I don't like to sound arrogant or cocky but we did.

I don't know how Conor McManus can get one. And the likes of John Heslin or Sean Quigley (who played more games than Conor) don't.

Angers me something serious.

I would have mostly Dubs as they were by far the best team all season.
I make room for keegan in the half forwards.

James McCarthy has to be in there. Granted Lee Keegan is a fantastic player. However James Mc ensured Dublin got to a final and won it. He was the driving force and the calmest figure to win an All Ireland SF and a final. Not sure what else ye need to do to nail an all star.

Extremely difficult to pick such a team with all the outstanding players that are available. Players left out are equally as good as the ones you pick. Anyway, here goes.
Kealy
Enright, O'Carroll, Higgins
Keegan, O'Sullivan, McCaffrey
Maher, E. Donnelly
McManus, A. O'Shea, Kilkenny
C. O'Connor, Quigley, B. Brogan

squareball_1988 Conor McManus is the best "forward" in Ireland at the moment. He is unreal.
Its not his fault he plays with Monaghan where he doesnt get the same chances as Dublin or Kerry or he isnt in Connaught where he can score 20 points against Sligo.

I personally dont get why people are suggesting Quigley. He is great free taker alright but offers very little from open play to justify an All Star.

I will endeavour to cheer you up fella.
Heslin played 4 championship games in a poor Leinster Championship. Mc Manus also played 4 championship games giving MOTM performances in all but the Tyrone game in the quarter final. he was also probably the best forward in Div 1. It took 2 of the Dublin team (both of which will get allstars) to try and mark him in the semi final, even the Dublin supporters were full of praise of him that day. Heslin was a non-event through the league (as were Westmeath) and in the Leinster final, he didn't play against Fermanagh (a game where Quigley was poor by his standard, he wasn't great against us either)
There may be some argument for Quigley at full forward but not at the exclusion of McManus. If Mc Manus was not in the top 3 corner forwards this year with Broogan and O Connor. I must be missing something.
I would put McCurry ahead of Heslin for consistency by the way.

I don't think Connolly done enough to deserve one. I would say the closest to miss out were Cillian O Connor (very unlucky), Pete Harte & Paddy Andrews

All I know is the whole Dublin half back line have to be there as well as McManus. It's criminal if they dont

Clondalkindub I would go with that 15 with possible inclusion of cooper ahead of Enright. .
