Lots of support for Jack McCaffrey, there was a suspension on the market on betting after the all ireland final. BUt as good a player as he is, i think that he has only begun playing to his full potential. There is a lot more to come. The main man as far as I am concerned this year is Kilkenny. A bit of an unsung hero, and a vital player on the dublin team. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 23/09/2015 11:14:54 1791195 Link 0 |
During the whole season, I would have these 3 players in order.. Farney (Monaghan) - Posts: 798 - 23/09/2015 11:59:57 1791227 Link 0 |
Id have to give it to Jack mcCaffrey. He is the biggest threat in this Dublin team with his running from deep. dstuction (Donegal) - Posts: 1209 - 23/09/2015 12:00:04 1791228 Link 0 |
Kilkenny certainly a shout but it has to be berno for me. 6-20 from play is literally phenomenal AthCliath87 (Dublin) - Posts: 345 - 23/09/2015 12:29:15 1791257 Link 0 |
I said 3 months ago , that with the attention Dermo and Flynner would be getting , that this could be ideal for Ciaran in the half forward line and he grabbed it with two hands in the 3 big games. Jack has also been brilliant.Either of these two for me. AthCliath (Dublin) - Posts: 4347 - 23/09/2015 12:47:50 1791276 Link 0 |
Philly Mc for me. Marked the ''POTY in waiting'' out of the game on two occasions and then marked possibly the greatest forward to ever play the game The Gooch out of the game. Not to mention outscoring both each time!!!! Phenomenal. ConnollyDub (Dublin) - Posts: 2007 - 23/09/2015 12:55:52 1791282 Link 0 |
I have to agree Connolly Dub, Philly was outstanding in semi and final. It's a pity other things happened, which will cloud it. Can't see him getting it because of that. AthCliath (Dublin) - Posts: 4347 - 23/09/2015 12:59:29 1791289 Link 0 |

In fairness mcmahon was 1 of 3 who marked o shea when ball was won by o shea he was surrounded by a number of players and lets be honest mcmahon hands were all over him especially around the head and this after ref blew the whistle getting little digs in and regarding the gooch my mum could have marked him as he was out around the midfield causing little or no trouble to dublin. He would get my vote but Jack will more than likely get it. The lad deserves huge credit for his consistent performances especially after coming back from a long term injury. wee_yo (Mayo) - Posts: 63 - 23/09/2015 18:48:37 1791563 Link 0 |
From a Dublin POTY point of view it's Philly McMahon all day long. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13692 - 23/09/2015 20:13:11 1791587 Link 0 |
Philly MCMahon. Had a great year and was well above any other player in the country for his last three games. 15BACSAM (Dublin) - Posts: 142 - 25/09/2015 14:50:26 1792383 Link 0 |
Philly McMahon has no chance of getting player of the year. The most likely player Jack McCaffrey to get player of the year. fainleog (Limerick) - Posts: 597 - 25/09/2015 15:12:14 1792398 Link 0 |
