Trouble in Mayo?

What do people make of Aidan O'Shea's tweet last night?

Cryptic to say the least. link

We all know he does tend to enjoy being in the limelight so might be nothing to it but surprised to see it's still there and he's not been made take it down.

Prob one of his mates borrowed his phone when he was logged in.

Not that long since Keith Higgins announced his retirement for similar reasons.

Yeah but he's been very active since it was posted, if it wasn't him that posted it surely he'd have deleted it by now, or made a comment that someone was after playing a joke on him?!

I have no clue at all. Tweet him and ask him.

Possibly the reappointment of the Mayo minor management?

Probably to do with the story of buckley leaving.

It now appears he could stay on anyway.

As for loving the limelight, he isnt the guy plastered all over every second ad on tv...

I think talk here should be parked and all focus on the All Ireland Final this weekend. No doubt we will be in the limelight later next week for all the wrong reasons. Worrying times ahead for Mayo fans from what I am hearing.

he should be more concerned with his poor showing in croke park

IMO there are a few Mayo footballers who are a bit too fond of talking in the media, and Aidan is one of them. That said, the Mayo County Board has long been known to be a shambles, and could do with a bit of a clearout.

A Family member was interested in a roll on a new mayo minor management. As Enda Gilvarry who won an all ireland minor with mayo in 2013 was ratified by the delegates no other names were put forward and hence his relative did not get the roll. This is what i believe lead to the attention seeking tweet.

He loves the ould attention alright and he is a twitter lover.. He seems to have some issues at the moment, allegedly he took offence recently in a dublin bar to a tweet sent by another intercounty footballer .. Thats the story doing the rounds allegedly!!! Think young Aidan should get off twitter.

Aidan wasn't the one who put it up on a website.

I think the same could be said for every county board

Joe.ie and Balls.ie had articles on it last night, well before I 'put it up on a website'.

"Joe.ie and Balls.ie had articles on it last night, well before I 'put it up on a website'."

That's my point croigorm. Aidan O'Shea doesn't control what Joe.ie and Balls.ie put up on their websites.
What he implied about the Mayo county Board could be said about every county board.
It's hardly news

That's why the lads keep getting to play in front of packed houses in Croker.
Pity our love of publicity doesn't translate into All Irelands
Sure the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about

I think Aidan would be better off looking back on his performaces in the semis and his scoring rate. Maybe he's questioning management's decision to put him in the inside forwards where he was outclassed by a fella a foot smaller than him, a corner back who scored 1-2 in the second game when Aidan was supposed to be tracking him.
