Absolutely shameful and someone at Croke Park has to answer for this. It's Christmas for the ticket touts. The tickets are appearing on all sorts of websites at way over their cost price, 200 - 300 Euros and above. Shocking but the GAA digging a big hole for itself again. Do they ever learn?

unbelievable . I mean the thing is over-subscribed and they handed out a dozen at a time now the genuine supporters will have to fork out a fortune from the touts. Touts must have been laughing.. shameful.

s goldrick you seem surprised........surely it would have been more surprising if they had done the sensible thing. Tickets should have been allocated at no more than 2 per buyer. Finally, I think they might have waited till the Mayo fans had got home before putting out the first 10 thousand tickets on line on Saturday evening.

I always wondered how touts got their hands on tickets, giving out 12 tickets to punters is daft. The familiar cry of anyone buyin or sellin a tickah' is part of big match days in HQ.
Could U2 record it?

Disgraceful by the GAA, they will never learn, there has to be a massive protest about the way tickets seem to end up in touts hands, we have the perfect opportunity this weekend, eat a decent meal as close to the match time as possible, bring in flasks of tea and sandwiches, try to enjoy the game and afterwards refuse to leave Croke Park, if 82000 football supporters from saturday refuse to leave and stay all night and Sunday morning imagine what would happen on Sunday when the All Ireland Hurling Finals are suppose to be played, it would finally bring the GAA to its knees and realise they are the problem, clubs won't stand up for the small man, they are mostly yes men and women

Well I thought it was standard practice for major events with high demand for tickets that you only allowed a max of 2 or sometimes 4 per person. that's why the gansters running the touts have had to devise very sophisticated computer programs to buy up the tickets from the likes of ticketmaster and then sell them back to ticketmaster's "sister-sites" who sell them on at twice the price.
make no mistake about it , the guys you see walking up and down outside venues "buying or selling" are the foot-soldiers, the real gansters are sitting at home creaming the money.

do you know what I'd do before I'd pay a massively over-inflated price for a ticket?i'd buy a crate of beer,or hit the local, and drink a dozen pints with what the overpriced ticket would have cost me.
The only scenario I would pay above the odds for would be an All-Ireland final, and thankfully these vultures cant get their hands on tickets for that in this way.
But how were people allowed buy 12 tickets at a go?Surely GAA need to answer that, having said that I have dealt with the ticket office in Croke Park and a more incompetent bunch of people than them i have never dealt with.they dont have a clue,as was evident last year with the season ticket fiasco which one of the posters on here had.

Apparently anyone who managed to buy from tickets.ie are now receiving tickets in duplicate and triplicate format - as in, if you ordered 4 tickets you're getting 8 or 12 delivered. Seat numbers etc for only 4 seats, other tickets are copies of same.

This could cause serious chaos on Saturday. I'd be advising not to buy off anyone you don't personally know. Could lead to serious over-crowding issues at turnstiles etc, so get in early is my advice.

That's going to cause mayhem on Saturday.

My god. Could they have gotten it any worse? This is completely unacceptable. Touts can not only buy 20 odd tickets, they can now sell them 3 times over. GAA need to sort this out. Re-issue all tickets sold online and cancel the others.

You'd imagine that's the only way they can fix this. You'll get some people desperate for a ticket chancing their arm and using a duplicated ticket which could cause a serious issue with queues on the day.

Absolutely scandalous to see the number of tickets available per person from the Ticket Office the other day especially with the number of genuine people that would love to go to the game. And then the usual retrospective step where Done Deal won't allow them on their website, at least they have some morals. I just hope that the touts didn't get too many of them. I am sure there are other avenues for selling them on the black market where people will be taken advantage of.

Some of the lads selling these tickets are well known gangsters from the north inner city.Have been at it for donkeys years. The corners at the Sunset House/Portland Row junction and the Summerhill/Buckingham St is the selling patch for the most well known of all.I happened to be in his company only last week.Dont shoot me lads, twas only in a bookies in Talbot St,and he was licking his lips for the remaining games.

I remember when seven or eight English Rugby lads bought some high priced tickets to the England v Ireland rugby game in Croke Park few years back. Not only did they pay over the odds, they were given dud tickets and were refused entry. They were throwing their weight around a couple of pubs near where they paid for tickets looking for Mr Tout.To make it worse, they were told where to go in no uncertain terms.DO NOT ENGAGE WITH A TOUT!
