To ask them to come up to Croke park twice in 6 days is a tough ask. Accomodation, travel, ticket, food and so on for a family of 4 for example would cost an awful lot. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 31/08/2015 10:46:51 1778691 Link 0 |
In fairness the point about the all-Ireland hurling finals is a good one & The GAA probably could reduce this one to 50 euro a ticket. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 31/08/2015 12:04:00 1778828 Link 0 |
Can't see it happening although they definitely should do something for them. Looks like it's going to be another sell-out though. Tickets.ie announced this morning that the 1st batch sold old in minutes. The 2nd batch went on sale at 11:00 but you can't even get on the site now, keeps crashing. I thought EP would affect attendance but clearly not. CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 31/08/2015 12:12:47 1778840 Link 0 |
NO chance. THe Grab all association will never drop their prices because they know it will sell out. Hurling replays don's sell out. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1105 - 31/08/2015 12:13:20 1778841 Link 0 |

Maybe like last year they could move a replayed semi final to a venue that suited both sets of travelling supporters. Greenfield (Meath) - Posts: 522 - 31/08/2015 12:14:17 1778844 Link 0 |
We have been doing it for 5 years now wayno...getting to at least a semi and on two occasions finals. Throw in league games and I have spent thousands following them. I love it though and its my choice. I do feel for family's though. Many with kids back to school yesterday would not have been home till 10:00pm last night. Loads of counties would love that complaint though I suppose. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11227 - 31/08/2015 12:16:42 1778848 Link 0 |
Tickets for the replay are a little cheaper to be fair. Accommodation will be the big problem with the Hurling Final on Sunday. Mickmick (Dublin) - Posts: 104 - 31/08/2015 12:22:41 1778856 Link 0 |

The hurling replays always sold out, was bigger crowd than the football final in 2013 flack (Dublin) - Posts: 1054 - 31/08/2015 13:40:31 1778951 Link 0 |
Would be naive to think any company let alone the GAA would do half price anything simply because its a replay and would be a nice gesture. Its business not charity. SLLY (Dublin) - Posts: 463 - 31/08/2015 13:51:30 1778964 Link 0 |
Wayno licking up to the culchies again! just look out for your own county buddy and let the rest of the country look after themselves! We take enough stick off them, just look at all the anti -dublin post's on here today, to be fair there's a few nondubs trying to bring a bit of perspective on yesterday's game but very few! We understand what is being said but here is 1 thing that annoys me why do Irish rail advertise prices 1 way, how do they think we get home, thumbing a lift, maybe row a make shift tub down the royal canal but that only gets us to the midlands or now I got it we could go up to the Croke Park skyline or walk and wave our hands and fly home like a bird, why the hell don't they tell us the correct price return at least we can know we are going to be robbed before we click into anything else riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 31/08/2015 13:55:06 1778973 Link 0 |
