As the CCCC used video evidence to punish players should the same not be done with referees? There was some clearly wrong calls at crucial stages of the game on sunday that could potentially impact the outcome of a match (no black card for enright and black card for tyrone tackle on cooper for example). Should referees performance not be taken to task also? Players put too much into the GAA season to get done by a poor call. Having consequences may drive the standard of refereeing upwards. unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1222 - 25/08/2015 14:11:58 1775923 Link 0 |

I for one would not liked to be reffing on Sunday..it was difficult enough game to watch from the hill in the pouring rain. KY4SAM2015 (Kerry) - Posts: 898 - 25/08/2015 15:12:38 1775988 Link 0 |

Think referees should be stood down for a week or two. Pauraic Hughes got a game the next week after a shocking decision in Cork Kerry game. That's unacceptable. It was in a ways a two fingers up from the GAA to his critics. Give someone else the games and not let him referee. Tell the public they are just going through rota. In premier league Referees are demoted divisions if make a high profile blunder and work their way back up. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 25/08/2015 15:34:12 1776010 Link 0 |

I think referees need more help from the GAA so why not introduce a little bit of technology Give them a chance to review incidents , also the clock like in ladies games SamOnErrigal (Donegal) - Posts: 1427 - 25/08/2015 21:49:58 1776289 Link 0 |
The overreaction to a couple of calls on Sunday had been nothing short of embarrassing. He got the penalty call right and should have given a black card to somebody, get a grip lads, move on. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 7831 - 25/08/2015 21:59:02 1776292 Link 0 |

Trolling Maurice Deegan isn't the answer. There were tough calls to make on Sunday and like every referee not everyone will agree with them all. Personally I thought the first penalty call was soft and if he had given the other it would have been soft too. jpcampion (Laois) - Posts: 194 - 26/08/2015 10:04:12 1776339 Link 0 |

Lot of stupid posts on here but this is the worst i ever recall reading!! The most thankless job in the country is being a ref. Fair play to them for going out there in the first place. white.n.blue (Monaghan) - Posts: 249 - 26/08/2015 21:42:29 1776865 Link 0 |
