Not 15 for 15 but 1 for 50 ........

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Not a fan of this 15 for 15 business.

However if you were to pick one individual who has made a notable contribution to the GAA in the past 50 years, who is it & why? It can be a revolutionary, an official, a jersey washer, anyone you like.

Interested to hear the feedback.

Paddy Keenan for me. One of the best players to come out of the Wee County. His attitude alone deserves him an all Ireland medal. A gentleman on and off the pitch. Captain of the Pats this year and looking for his 7th Senior Louth title. He captained the Pats to glory in 2007 against their big rivals Cooley in the final.

For the systematic destruction of Meath football? They've certainly excelled at that alright, can't fault them there.

Amending rule 42 was a very significant change. Sean Kelly I think was president at the time?

Micko, like Cody got a top team and made them even stronger. Didn't really do anything for the GAA as a whole. Loughnane gave belief to all the weaker counties. Maybe Mickey harte too

I think that Mickey Harte has had an unrivalled effect on how gaelic football is played, both tactically and in spirit.

Colin Kelly, breaking records all year as we were relegated to division 4, and humiliated by 23 points by Tipp.
