The most dramatic finish I've seen was the 2002 Under 21 Munster Final replay in Thurles. Limerick had scored a late Eoin Foley penalty to draw the first game 3-9 to 2-12. We had the replay in Thurles again & were 4 points down in injury time. We got 1-1 to level it and Tipp had a man sent off before Limerick just pulled away to win 1-20 to 2-14. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 11/08/2015 15:08:13 1768111 Link 0 |

The 2011 all Ireland is right up there too what a way for Dublin to win ... kerry looking like they had it with 4 points up . Cluxtons 45 was special slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 11/08/2015 15:53:13 1768177 Link 0 |
Slayer in terms of sheer drama which is what the post is about not time wasting ... Cluxton ability to hold his nerve and score with essentially the last kick of the game to win Dublins first all Ireland in 16 years I think was special rossy15 (Roscommon) - Posts: 616 - 11/08/2015 16:00:10 1768184 Link 0 |

That Kildare Donegal game will love long in the memory had me on the edge of my seat, Sidebottoms commentary was also hilarious and added to the occasion "CASSIDYYY ITS OVER, Donegal Delirium". Mayo Kerry first game last year was also great to watch in terms of excitement spy_in_the_sky (Antrim) - Posts: 273 - 11/08/2015 16:27:07 1768213 Link 0 |

Ciaran Mac's winner v The Dubs in 2006. Not just the score but the way they started the move from the back. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7290 - 11/08/2015 16:45:44 1768233 Link 0 |

Munster Final Replay of 1976 which ended officially in another draw. One scoreboard in Pairc Ui Chaoimh had Cork winning by two points and the other had Kerry winning by one. Such was the excitement and confusion that the PA announcer told everybody to stay in their seats until he checked the score with the referee John Moloney. A few minutes later he announced that the official result was a draw and that extra time was necessary. Pure bedlam reigned for a while. dingle2 (Kerry) - Posts: 278 - 11/08/2015 18:34:23 1768311 Link 0 |
The 2 games you mentioned, REDANDBLACK30, immediately come to mind. A less famous one was a preliminary round Ulster championship game in the early 90s when Fermanagh led Armagh by 10 points in the 68th minute. The ref played about 7 minutes of injury time and Armagh scored 3-2 to win by a point. Clare footballers were 4 points down against Cork with 2 minutes to go in the mid nineties - they pulled back a couple of points and then won the game with a last-gasp goal worked from a close-in free.
