Bernard & gooch, As the old saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent. And some dubs wanted Bernard dropped pre season !! Back to his best !

He was poor enough v Westmeath.I would have taken him off in that game.Excellent yesterday.Well see how he performs in semi final as we will need more of the same.Great to see him back to his best, but the real action starts now.Do the same v Mayo/Donegal and were well on our way.If not,we may struggle.Time will tell.

Bernard Brogan looks back to his best, perhaps even 2010 form. It's not that long ago people were saying if anything happened Brogan, Dublin were in serious trouble. Dublin have a serious assortment of forwards now but for me Brogan is the most in-form and that includes Connolly and Kilkenny. One thing he deserves credit for is his movement off the ball. James Horan and Colm Parkinson have made reference to this quite a lot. He makes runs out of space to clear the way to make a run for the ball into space and that sort of intelligent movement will surely be an important factor when Dublin come up against teams more defensively organised. He's one of the favourites for Footballer of the Year right now.

I'm not sure Cooper is back to his best. While I wouldn't go as far as to say he's not playing well, I do think teams will target him as an area of weakness. I would be putting my best man-markers on O'Donoughue and Geaney and telling the man on Cooper to push on on turnovers and exploit whatever lack of fitness is there. He's not going to be taking his man on and beating him like O'Brien or O'Donoghue and he's not going to be running up and down the pitch. The only place for him now is the full-forward line and it's going to be much harder to use his strengths of picking passes against the better teams. Himself and Sheehan are too oldest in the front eight for Kerry and in my opinion the two most vulnerable.

Cue you do realise when there's 15 players in there own half there's not much Bernard can do ? Like Donegal players struggle when they come up against a blanket defence and they invented the bleeding thing.
