Have to say I agree with this. Never understood how some fans like going to Clones. Hours queuing to get in and out, parking in a field, getting ripped off at every opportunity, seating out of the dark ages.

If Casement doesn't happen a serious upgrade of Clones is long past due. If the traffic and parking problems could be resolved it would make a great site for a stadium.

Mmmmmhhhhh... A disgruntled Donegal fan methinks. Everything he mentions in his column is what I love about Clones. Oh, and the parking around Casement is far worse!!

Not a fan myself. We need a mid ulster stadium with purpose built parking

I am one who loves Clones and will not be happy when things move to Casement.
We leave early in the morning and get parked on the road. Albeit narrow but easily doable. We head into the town to soak up the athmosphere which is always great. We do enjoy a drink or 2. Yes there are some people drunk but majority of people love the chat and the interaction between supporter.

Then its up to the ground. Admittedly its not great but nowhere near the worst I have seen. They have 1 good stand (like most counties) and the rest is of differing levels. In what ground is the view from behind the goals good? It could do with improvements but nothing to complain about IMO. The hill is too packed. I agree with this.

Then on the way home we make a quick breakaway and generally have no problem (as we park on the road pointed for home). We have gotten caught a few times but again nothin worse than in alot of other grounds. I remember being trapped coming away from Omagh for a couple of hours.

A Stadium with Motorway Access will do just nicely :)

I actually think Breffni is the best stadium in Ulster. If it was in a slightly more central position it would be perfect for games. Parking is no issue in Cavan town either.

Great trip up their against Derry for a qualifier back 2003. I had literally just started to sup a few pints with the oul lad in the pub! Was still underage but was my first time having a few at a Dublin game! They were free back then, the oul lad wouldn't let me off a round now!

Most recent trip up was April in the league! Certainly been to far worse stadiums!

On match day, Clones was a great drinking town.
Plenty of craic about and the atmosphere brillant.
Went every time Tyrone were playing, haven't seen a ball kicked yet.

Had cousins from a Cavan at a match in Clones saying that the parking in Clones was great and compared to Breffeni it was a lot better but everyone has their opinions I guess
Sure Casement's going to be a great spot altogether, it's going to be 100 percent perfect and nothing wrong with it, going by some poster's ,
Clones mightn't be the best but some people love going there and wouldn't have it any other way on Ulster Final day

Just looking at a map there and there appears to be a bit of Monagahan by where the only way you canget into into is through Northern Ireland on all sides bar a narrow bit connecting to the republic but a river goes across it. Anybody know anything about that little area? Must have been not so fun for the residents back in the day.

DoireCity - sure Casement is right beside the M1 so when the Planning is resubmitted this will be accomplished. A good strike of the hurl and you'd be landing balls on passing motorists on the Motorway!

Yeah not sure if it was ever said bumper - nothing like a bit of sesnsationalisation though from some posters who are struggling to come to terms with Casement being Ulsters HQ :-)

haha antrim looking for it in casement..they wont have to worry about ulster final day for a while..instead of wasting money work on the infrastructure and roads around stadia like clones and breffini.. the ulster final could be shared about on a year to year basis including pairc esler and the athlethic grounds. casement i dont think any outside support like it..
