as a fella once said to a priest in mass....

"u see father, this is the kind of sh*t that sic*ens my hole"

Follow your own county and dont mind trying to coat tail on to your "province" !!!

Imagine any self respecting meath or kildare man trying to be a pseudo-Dub, or a Cork man trying to support Kerry!!

Will never understand this county Ulster mentality.

Dublin and Kildare can take a running jump!

Ulster supports one another because the amount of crap they had to put up with during the troubles. Louth used to be part of Ulster so Up Ulster!

Well when those from outside Ulster constantly criticise and abuse Ulster football it's hard not to throw your weight behind fellow ulster gaels. If you ask me it is a result of negativity towards ulster from outside ulster.

Ah its because ye wimps are always lording over us with your talk of champagne soft southern football! We play a real mans game!

Seriously though, we have friendly banter with each other but when you are out its nice to take an interest. I like to see an Ulster side do well so long as its not at our expense. It keeps things interesting! I admit I (and plenty of others at this stage - Rossies aside) have a soft spot for Mayo too.

Id alway go for an ulster team. Great to see so many left in it. It gives you something to follow when your own team isnt playing or is knocked out. All very friendly at games up here. Im sure most Ulster people agree. Ulster over anyone

Wonder why we go for each outher but other provinces seem to want anyone but their neighbours to win. i think we have the right attitude

Ollie....your a Louth man, and the OP is a Cavan man!!! Tis hardly the same as someone from The Falls and The Bogside having a common cause !!!

Liam living in Louth is like living in the Bogside. People living in Meath who cross the Boyne have to watch themselves or else they are attacked.

Years ago it was the "done thing" to follow your Provincial Representatives (also, remember no "back-door" either, until relative recently) when they got to semi-final stage. It definitly has "watered down" recently, except maybe in Ulster.
In the 70's & 80's, Ulster & Connacht teams took some dreadful beatings, at the hands of the Leinster & Munster Reps. This only galvinised support within the Provinces (Ulster & Connacht) in the hope that their Champs could do their Provinces proud. In more recent times the general "anti-Ulsterism" has certainly contributed to Ulster Counties rolling in behind each other!

Doire wee have loads of tourists in Louth. The Dubs love coming up here that much that they moved up here. Carlingford is the Kinsale of the North-East.

Going for a pub crawl in Drogheda in a few weeks. I'll watch out for an angry Ollie in his Morgan Fuels top and voodoo of Martin Sludden looking for agro.

Enjoy yourself Royalbadger. Try Clarkes. The Guinness is lovely. Mc Phails, Gleesons and Cagneys all have beer gardens if the weather is good.
