It says more about the poor standard of Provincial Championships imo. Cork got caught by the quick turn around but Leinster and Connaught losing finalists this year were poor which leads you to ask questions of the teams they beat. A bad team would never get to a Ulster final and Donegal will show that next week.

Fancy Donegal to beat Galway, And then Mayo to know Donegal out personally.

Wexford and Meath were two seeded Leinster semi-finalists from last year. Westmeath beat the both of them. Westmeath fully deserved their place in the Leinster final. Full credit to Fermanagh for beating them yesterday.

We'll never have any sympathy for our Munster rivals! I'm happy enough at the comments being thrown out about them!! Keep it up!!!

Roscommon have ensured that Connaught have two Division 1 counties next year. Sligo got the better of them in the championship. Full credit to Sligo on that. Sligo as we know got floored in the Connaught final. They'll have to work on parking their team bus.

The two finalists already gone and Sligo who looked likely to follow fully deserved their provincial final place. I'd focus more on the good work of their respective opponents. I think we might see at least two qualifiers in the semi-finals this year. Just the way it goes. Tyrone and Kildare have already shown they have regrouped in the qualifiers. Donegal will be a threat for Mayo.

In 2010 the 4 provincial champions were knocked out at the quarter final stage. Not sure if its happened to the beaten finalists in round 4 before?

In 2010 the beaten provincial finalists were all knocked out in round four. It also happened in 2003 and 2004.

Also in 2010, all 4 provincial champions lost in the quarter finals. And everyone on here was going on and on about how winning a provincial title actually puts teams at a disadvantage.

Just one more and that leaves the beaten Ulster finalists as the only one left standing
