A big result happened at the weekend and seems to have gone completely unnoticed. St. Earnans of Westmeath won the Feile hurling, beating Kilmacow of Kilkenny in the final. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 08/07/2015 17:59:22 1750082 Link 0 |
A great result for them alright. Never easy to win any competition and you have to be the very best of the teams involved. theweeman (Galway) - Posts: 144 - 08/07/2015 18:26:44 1750101 Link 0 |

Did a club from Westmeath not win two finals in a row in the feile a couple of years ago, supprised to see Killmacow in the final it is also a great honour for them as they are a very small club. johnwhite12 (Kilkenny) - Posts: 306 - 09/07/2015 09:12:24 1750267 Link 0 |

What is happening in Westmeath hurling is that 2/3 underage hurling clubs are being amalgamated into bigger clubs from U14 up to minor, leaving some smaller clubs who didn't want to amalgamate in limbo as they have to play in Division 2 competitions against some of these amalgamated clubs! valley84 (Westmeath) - Posts: 1890 - 09/07/2015 15:10:19 1750518 Link 0 |
