Kildare v Dublin

If we get within 8 points of the dubs I'll be surprised. This is a young Kildare side who are in the early stages of their development so nothing much is expected of them this year from within the county. Im predicting an easy win for the Dubs

They hammered the 2nd best team in Leinster so I expect it to be closer!

Hopefully Dublin don't get motivated for this and Kildare give them a good game. Hard to get excited for it though.

Triple header in Croke Park. Should be a great day out. If Kildare get within 8 pts of Dublin I'll be surprised. The minor game will be closer.

I think we'll go toe to toe with the Dubs right up to the throw in, then expect Dublin to surge ahead!!

It would be great if Kildare ran them close . It won't happen - sadly !

Yeah this will be a non-contest. If Kildare were on the other side of the draw, they'd have a great chance of getting through.
Westmeath vs Meath should be close though.

You have to fancy Westmeath there!

Only one winner here.Dublin by 10+ in 3rd gear.Ive lost any faith i had in Meath after today,so if they beat their neighbours,we'll up the gears to 4th and put 15+ on them too.

We'd all like to see a game, with two teams fighting a battle, but sadly I dont think that will be the case. Havn said that Kildare looked pretty grim against Laois last week and then beat them well yesterday, who knows....but I think any supporter would like to see a close game.

Stranger things have happened , who knows a few decisions might go our way this time around ! Nothing more vulnerable than a cocky team , but after the week end results the big 4 look set to dominate the championship again this year !

I know Kildare put in a great 2nd half performance but surely they've no reason to be cocky coming in to the Dublin match?

This will be closer than many think... IMO

Kildare will park the bus

Dublin's first all out blanket game of the year

Good early preparation - will be interesting to see how Gavin sets-up to counter the counter

Kildare will in no way go man for man...

If they do - they should give Ryan the boot there and then...

Kildare have the panel of players that when set-up correctly against the Dublin's of this world.. could cause a lot of trouble

Yep.. Blanket #1 2015 coming up... more than likely followed by another in the final

Leinster will be hard won this year... good early preparation and lots of question's will be raised / answered

I don't think Kildare will play a blanket, we have never done it successfully and don't know how to do it. I think we need to play some form of defensive system while still maintaining a threat up front. A blanket would certainly help to keep the score down, but you can't implement a system like that in two weeks. Our strength is actually in attack rather than defence with this team, Teams like Galway & Roscommon with pacy forwards took us to the cleaners in the league so I would genuinely fear for us against Dublin. I do think we can put up a decent score against the Dubs, but well aware that the Dubs could blitz us in 10 mins like we did to Laois. Still I am looking forward to the game, I think the Kildare players will have a real go and we have some quality young players who will relish the occasion.

Wouldn't that be perfect preparation for if ye face Donegal later in the year?

Yes I mentioned something similar in my post

I reckon Dublin could face a couple of them in Leinster this year before even getting into the serious stuff

The Kildare County Board needs to get onto Tom Cross to give us a loan of a few 53 sitters!!

Dubs at 1/33, Kildare at 12/1, draw 33/1, says it all really. Maybe if the game was in Newbridge I would give Kildare half a chance, but playing the dubs on their home ground, and with Cluxton knowing Croker like the back of his hand, no chance for the lilies.
