Doesn't bother me. If they were to rename Croke Park I'll still call it Croke Park, in the same way it'll always be Lansdowne Road and The Point. CroiGorm (Dublin) - Posts: 1547 - 27/05/2015 12:43:47 1729023 Link 0 |
I'm hoping Pairc Tailteann get's a stadium sponsor, we could really use the money, the place is a total kip. Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 27/05/2015 13:22:18 1729055 Link 0 |

Sure the country itself could use a few quid so how about "lucky charm cereal land" DoireCityFC (Derry) - Posts: 1580 - 27/05/2015 16:20:56 1729179 Link 0 |
I don't think it really matters, the smaller counties need the money and it's not going to change how people refer to it,like most people call Elverys McHale Park its original name 'McHale Park' I'm sure it's the same with Innovate Wexford Park and Netwatch Dr. Cullen. Changing the name of Cork Park is a different story altogether... mayo_hurler (Mayo) - Posts: 113 - 27/05/2015 17:24:14 1729203 Link 0 |

Does anyone know how much other counties are getting for there naming rights, 140k seems an awful lot. ros1 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1211 - 27/05/2015 21:08:22 1729281 Link 0 |
Hill16, for all the interest Limerick give to the league they could play their games in a club field never mind Rathkeale. I can't see anyone giving 140k for the naming right of a stadium which will only be used for any match of interest about 2 or 3 times a year. And even if it did got ahead I think it will be wasted money because the Gaelic Grounds will always be called just that. mike03 (Limerick) - Posts: 2000 - 28/05/2015 08:07:12 1729302 Link 0 |
Advertising does work.....trust me. Companies are not stupid. People who say "oh that never works on me" well its works on plenty or advertising would not be a multi million euro business. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11219 - 28/05/2015 08:46:53 1729308 Link 0 |
You's played us there in January hill, that was a good occasion, the place was nearly full. Ye we're thinking of Tayto Pairc Tailteann, good name that, nice and crisp :-) Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 28/05/2015 10:35:19 1729358 Link 0 |

Celtic Park is a poor name, it should be called St Columba park or something 4KHDoneill (Derry) - Posts: 182 - 28/05/2015 17:38:32 1729651 Link 0 |
