Unfortunately for Galway I can't see anything other than a Dublin win here.

Galway hurling is in a terrible mess, and the county team are also in a poor state, i fancy the Dubs by 6+

Dublin have a serious panel by now & really need to be hitting an All-Ireland final this year. Galway look rudderless yet if they clicked on a given day could destroy most teams.

I fancy dublin by 4, but a lot depends on how galway turn up, they go from being word beaters to gack. We could hammer them by ten or lose by 6

Take it from me Cuederocket Galway hurling is in a bad way at the moment. The entire juvenile hurling board resigned recently because of the way things are being run.

Fair enough barnowl, but Galway will have 15 good hurlers on the field on Sunday. With a decent manager whos been there a few years now.Stability has to be a good thing. This is the day theyve been planning for since the draw was made. What Galway have will come out on Sunday.Whether thats good enough i dont know. All will be revealed on Sunday.

I gave up trying to predict what Galway will do a long time ago! It's a mugs game.

Just when you think you know where they are at they'll come out and and confound you!

Dublin have had the stronger league but Galway you just never know. Hope its a tight game but I expect Galway to be there or there abouts.
Its the championship after all and very hard to predict now a days in hurling. Anyone can really win.
Putting my money on Galway feel they are capable of an upset.Just have an inkling something is going to happen.
However I would love for Dublin hurlers to go a long way this year and get to an AI Final maybe even win it.

With Galway you never can tell, what we do know is they have some serious hurlers who on a good day can beat anyone. This is too close to call, league form means nothing.

Look as far as our hurlers go, you never know. We can go from the sublime to the ridiculous inside 5 minutes. We are a confidence team though and firm quite frankly means nothing with us.

I'm making the trip over along with the better half who's a dub so by God my weekend won't be worth living if we lose. Galway by 5 plus. Come on the tribes!!!!

The last time Dublin played Galway was in the League last March in Parnell Park when Galway were through to the quarter finals and had nothing to play for and Dublin prevailed. Sunday is a totally different story with the match in Croke Park and a place in the Leinster semi final at stake. Don't know what the bookies odds are but to me its anybody's game so Galway trying to portray themselves as no hopers is a no no and not believable.

So tired of this whole "depends which Galway shows up" routine. It's been nearly 30 years since Galway "showed up".

Going on form so far this year, you'd have to back Dublin for the win.

The mess at juvenile level has no bearing on what happens in the match on Sunday. Thankfully we are not playing U-14 or U-16 players in the senior game vs Dublin! It is very very difficult to predict how this game will go. I would not be surprised with a 6-9 point win for Dublin or a 1-4 point win for Galway. Cunningham claims the team are training hard and are focused -- it this is so, they ought to have a very good chance of winning it. It they collapse and play like they did in the league game, then for sure it will be a short summer for Galway. Galway hurlers have the ability -- I am hoping they will show it on Sunday and I think they will. As supporters though, we can only have hope and not confidence.

Festinog, unfortunately you are right that is the case. I think home advantage will help Dublin over the line in this one.

It's a tough one to call alright. I'm not sure what to make of the dubs at the minute. Got off to a flyer obviously but didn't manage to maintain it. There's some good experienced players there so they're always going to be there or there abouts. I'm not sure where they stand in all-ireland stakes but they're not in my top 3 anyway. I certainly would be calling them hot favorites for this game. To reiterate the sentiments on here you just never know with Galway.

Whatever goes on in leinster makes no odds to me anyway as we've Westmeath and the possibility of going to Nowlan park so I can't see leinster being at the top of our list of goals.

Not sure, when Galway are down they are likely to spring a surprise. However if Dublin are to be serious AI contenders, and I believe they will be , then they should win this.

Really goes to show how far Dublin hurling has come when you see comments like the above.

It's amazing how Dublin have improved so much over the last few years. This time 10 years ago (in the '05 championship) Dublin were relegated to Div 2 along with Down then they lost to Laois by 12pts in the first round of the Leinster championship and lost all 3 games in the qualifier group... now they are one of the best sides in country, hopefully they can win Liam in the near future!
