Not a hope Jimbodub , good news is boring , Ive observed how they start out with 80 reads and disappear into oblivion , this site unfortunatley at moment is as bouyant as a graveyard . Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 21/05/2015 18:53:53 1726769 Link 0 |
How about if nobody bothered posting when these threads are started. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 21/05/2015 19:26:07 1726780 Link 0 |
All giving put aside I'm incredibly excited about this coming year. Apprehensive but still excited. I can't see us doing anything in football but I'm hopeful of a long summer with either the 21 or senior hurlers l. Maybe both :-) things are extremely quiet here. There isn't a peep coming out of the hurling camp which in my memory has always been a good thing. The last time it was this quiet was 2004. Nobody expecting anything and we went and beat Kilkenny Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 2600 - 21/05/2015 19:26:09 1726781 Link 0 |
Lads i dont see all the negativity myself. If a thread starts off with a wind up,abuse or insult i dont continue reading it.This is my favourite time of year. The next 3 1/2 months of action, both football and hurling in equal measure,i look forward to every year.Have done since i was a young lad. Will do till i cant no more.Last Sunday was a good start.Clare v Limerick will be the same this Sunday.Cavan v Monaghan too.Even looking forward to see can Laois beat Westmeath in the hurling Sunday. There are plenty good, decent posters on here who i enjoy reading.Newspapers,radio,tv.Its all good. The Sunday Game-live and the highlights show-i enjoy both.None of the pundits turn me off either. My life would be a much emptier place were it not for the GAA.Even though im not involved in a club anymore,it gives me lots of genuine pleasure and keeps boredom at bay.Weve a lot to be proud of lads. The doomsayers cannot and will never change that for me. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 21/05/2015 19:35:49 1726784 Link 0 |

The Louth Juniors beat the Cavan Juniors last night. Cavan were the All Ireland champions. So that will keep me happy for a wee while. Up the Wee County! OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 21/05/2015 19:43:31 1726790 Link 0 |

Here in Chicago, we're getting ready for championship season again. Looking forward to taking a few trips down to Gaelic Park down south where I can have tayto, lucozade and the best pint of Guinness west of the Atlantic. Good fun mixing with the Irish Americans who have a great day out. And the kids play GAA on the pitch at half time just like Mullingar used to be :-) petejoeduff (Donegal) - Posts: 329 - 21/05/2015 19:58:37 1726804 Link 0 |

All across the country, in every town and village, there are many great people training and coaching kids for the love of the game every evening of the week. The GAA is still the greatest sports organisation on the island and one of the best amateur sports organisations in the world, it is only a small number at the top of the game who are poisoning it. And that is why they should be told where to go by anyone with a love of our games and culture. Soma (UK) - Posts: 2630 - 21/05/2015 21:02:06 1726824 Link 0 |
Best news of the lot is that we are all alive & well, able to go to games, debate the issues & get annoyed over nothing. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 21/05/2015 21:09:42 1726828 Link 0 |
Good news? Even though the sun is failing to shine yet we in the west have 1 thing we are happy about, no midges yet, those buggers are us alive every summer when the sun shines and the wind calms down, if the eastern half of the country want to experience them take a holiday down the west coast from Donegal to west Cork, anywhere you find Boland or forestry you will find midges riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 21/05/2015 21:24:28 1726841 Link 0 |

Good news, the donegal minors were brilliant on sunday, and play very stylish football. I was very glad to go early and watch both games. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 21/05/2015 21:58:10 1726863 Link 0 |
It's Friday. It's Payday. The wife is heading south of the border with the weans for the weekend. Beer festival tomorrow afternoon in the Titanic Drawing Rooms - 23 on tap, 3 bottled, 6 ciders and a selection of 5 beer cocktails (mostly Irish craft breweries with a couple of English ones). What's not to be positive about. Offside_Rule (Antrim) - Posts: 4058 - 22/05/2015 08:40:01 1726877 Link 0 |
