Watching Justin McMahon give a total Master Class in Defending last week against M Murphy surely now people throughout Ireland must recognise that he is the best defender in Ireland, keeping Michael Murphy scoreless and lets face it in his back pocket for the whole game. Donegal tried the high ball in Justy either caught it above Murphy or broke it down and won possession and left Murphy for dead. To keep Michael Murphy scorless from play not many defenders with do that this year. Justin McMahon makes me proud o be a Tyrone man. Yes what a great player. A fine role model for all the young lads and lassies watching. KY4SAM2015 (Kerry) - Posts: 898 - 21/05/2015 11:48:09 1726413 Link 0 |
This sort of trolling is really making me want to give up on HS altogether. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 21/05/2015 11:55:30 1726416 Link 0 |
This post is extremely disingenuous, to say the least.....delighted to say that most other good defenders dont have to resort to the type of behaviour that was on view for all to see last Sunday....thier skills/talent do the talkn on the pitch....Ye wanna know a real good defender, look no further than the BEST fullback in the country - our own Rory O'Carroll..... Rory is indeed a fine player, mind you I seem to remember him engaging in the same marking "technique" as Justin McMahon last August against Neil Gallagher!!! MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 21/05/2015 12:17:41 1726440 Link 0 |

Dwayne Johnson is a future WWE Hall of Famer I would imagine but the best of all time might be stretching it a bit. Always preferred Stone Cold Steve Austin. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9073 - 21/05/2015 12:43:41 1726461 Link 0 |
Not sure why I am even responding to these posts as I know its a wind up. Justin McMahon is a really good defender but for some reason had to resort to the dark arts last Sunday and has now ruined his reputation. If he is so good, then surely he could have marked Murphy without resorting to sledging. In my opinion the best defenders in Ireland are Keith Higgins & Frank McGlynn. Justin is not even close to the best back in the country, lets be honest here. Anyone with a bit of pace beats him. As for his verbal abuse of Murphy all game long well its a pity there's no physical element in the game anymore as i'd say Murphy would've left him on his **** and McMahon wouldn't have been so brave again. brian (Meath) - Posts: 1954 - 21/05/2015 12:45:05 1726466 Link 0 |
I'm laughing all week at these saints from Donegal who would never do anything against the rules of Gaelic Football haha. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 21/05/2015 12:45:48 1726468 Link 0 |

They all say Murphy helped Donegal cross the line last week. I think he was totally marked out of it and shows to other counties he can be kept quiet. Even his free kicks were him just taking the score even though he didn't get the free itself, sure I could do that. cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 21/05/2015 12:50:25 1726473 Link 0 |
Vinny Corey kept Murphy quiet a couple of times and I didn't see any threads being made, relax a bit there. patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 936 - 21/05/2015 12:52:02 1726474 Link 0 |

Where was Justin McMahon when Donegal were tearing through the Tyrone defence at will for the first 15 minutes of the game last Sunday? McMahon was nowhere to be seen for the first quarter and this was where Donegal won the game. pdempsey (Mayo) - Posts: 1313 - 21/05/2015 12:58:54 1726480 Link 0 |
