Dire stuff...

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

First game is dire stuff partly because neither team seems to have heard of a thing call the full forward line.I'll never know why players in the full forward line just can't stay inside the 21 at least 5 or 6 times balls have landed inside the 21 and there was no forwards in site to get on the ball.

TG4 really need to move their microphone away from the Down mentor who keeps on roaring PRESS.

Division 2 final started poorly but was starting to warm up a bit until Deegan's dreadful decision to send off the Down player. Even the Hoganstand live commentary said it was 'shocking'. Referees who make such potentially game changing decisions must be made accountable for them. That decision was a total disgrace.

The whole thing is just woeful, depresses me more that we couldn't get out of that division when I see this muck on show.

Deegan seems to have knocked the heart out of Down and no wonder, they do look a bit demoralised at his decisions.

If Down get disheartened because a couple of refereeing decisions go against them then they might as well sit at home this summer.

Richieq. Yeah you got to wonder about those games against Laois and Roscommon that we threw away.
Desperate stuff. But deegan affectively decided outcome.

No were not but when you see stuff like what we saw in the first half of that game you just get frustrated, I'm not surprised Roscommon won and they deserved it as Down are not in my opinion a particularly good team yet, they have work to do and Roscommon are much more advanced. We beat that Down team by 7 points in Newry and had chances against the Rossies in the Hyde even though we didn't play particularly well, that's why Meath supporters are so dissapointed, however what's done is done time to look towards championship. I still expect this Roscommon side will have a major say in the championship, I wouldn't be so confident about Down but then again Ulster is Ulster.....

Not sure if this is just a GAA thing or not, but why is there always such a mad rush to criticize almost every game of football played these days? This post began just before half time in the first match! Lads, if you don't like football, then don't watch it, simple as.....

Besides who cares, Dublin are 5 points up against Cork.....

If that first half is anything to go by i guarantee whelan will be proved wrong , as Meath Offaly Kildare will do better than cork are doing.

We do like football in fact we love football that's why we post when we see it played so bloody defensively and badly with poor kicking, passing and poor wides and sorry if I don't share your enthusiasm for the lead Dublin PLC have over Cork GAA

Very surprised by what is a lacklustre and flat Cork performance, Dublin in control without hardly having to shift out of 2nd gear, let's hope for a much improved second half again.

The original thread title was Division 1 and 2 Finals however the moderator decided to change the thread title for some reason.

However the first half of the Down Roscommon match was rubbish and so far the first half of the Division one final has been dreadful as well due to Cork being so poor.

Dublin are only piddling around at the moment and are still miles better than Cork.If they up it in the second half Dublin will win by a cricket score unless Cork seriously improve.

Richieq exactly. Its cause we love football these defensive games are ruining it.

Cork's number 5 could have been sent off twice in the first half!

Can he make it three before the final whistle?
