League Finals - Predictions

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Div 4 - McCormack a loss for Longford, but I still think they have enough to shade it.
Div 3 - Armagh
Div 2 - I think Down will win this one.
Div 1 - I'm going for a big call with Cork, I really hope they can make amends for last years capitulation to the Dubs..

glorified challenge matches expect to see real high scoring free flowing matches that are alike a 3rd and 4th place play off at world cup
Hope the weather would have stay good for them so they could be a feel good factor with them, the cals

I can see these games being open enough so hopefully we'll see some nice passages of play and good scores. The intensity levels won't be too high though I'd say.

I'll go with:

Dublin
Roscommon
Fermanagh
Longford

Anyone from Fermanagh know if the scoring machine Quigley will be fit? I have him as my captain in a fantasy football competition at work. Another virtuoso performance from him will mean I'll probably win it!

Don't see it being a big call going for Cork.

They topped the league and have already beaten the Dubs on the last 2 occasions they've met.

Sorry meant that Cork have beaten Dublin 2 of the last 3 times they've met.

Hopefully Cork can do it, they have been impressive so far in the league and have a new look about them.
Also it will give them a massive confidence ahead of their munster campaign and the winner of the tipp and kerry game will have a tough munster final ahead of them

div 1 can,t see dubs being beaten as cork will fight it out score for score but dubs subs will make all the difference
div 2 This could be best game of the lot, both teams score on average 17 points, but with smaller men and wide open spaces can see down scoring a few goals [ they love a goal ]
div 3 Armagh favs and think they will be physically to strong for fermanagh.
div 4 Again could be a exciting game and high scoring going to side just with offaly.
pays 7/1 get on.

Div 4 - Longford
Div 3 - Armagh
Div 2 - Rossies - more in hope than expectation but would love to see them back at the top table - just rewards for great work at underage level.
Div 1 - Dublin - more consistency needed but if we perform like we are capable of performing then we will have too much for Cork. We need big games from Bernard, Ciaran, MDM if selected and a performance from DC.

Div One - Dublin to win narrowly.
Div two - Down to win they are seeking revenge and seem more focused on this final. hopefully a decent performance from us.

Div 3 - Armagh to win narrowly

Div 4 - longford to win by 3 to 5 points.

division 1 dublin to edged out cork by 3 points.

division 2 down will want to get revenge on us after we beat them in the newry. i see roscommon winning this by 3 also even tough they ros u21's be still disappointed that they didnt get over tyrone but still roscommon are going to win this and alot of sucess at underage and the structure.

division 3 i see armagh winning this but i would like fermanagh to win this encouter. armagh by 5. even tough it is a local darby.

divison 4 i see longford winning this against pat flangan offaly, even tough offaly were unlucky loosing them during the league match. but longford are very a strong physical side this year were just unlucky not to win against leitrim in the opening around but were lucky to get the point.
This is the 5th time both teams meet . longford have won the last 3. but i see longford winning.

Div 1 - Dublin - While this could be a tight match, I think Dublin will run out comfortable enough winners. Cork are definitely a side on the up, but I wasn't convinced by them against a very open Donegal. A day where Donegal walk off the field all happy looking, after just conceding 4 goal's, would worry me.

Div 2 - Down - There is something about Down and Croke Park, This game could see them realise their potential and boost their confidence. I thought James McCartan's departure would have set down back, but this doesn't appear to have been the case. They look formidable.

Div 3 - Fermanagh - I fully expect Fermanagh to rattle Armagh, as Fermanagh have been fantastic under McGrath this season. He has got them to bond as a team, and they will be a handful for McGeeney's team. Armagh will have an experience edge in Croker, but Fermanagh will feel more comfortable playing a Ulster side.

Div 4 - Offaly - The last time I seen Offaly in Croker, was against Kildare a couple of years back and I was Impressed with how they stepped it up a gear. That was then, this is now, and I wouldn't be surprised if Offaly adapt a little better on the day and edge this.
